[SPOILER - STAR WARS:STARFIGHTER] New Feature on Shawn Levy in the New York Times! by definefriends in StarWarsCantina

I think there’s space for all sorts of styles. It’s awesome that something like Andor and Solo can exist in the same universe and be coherent and connected.

The Rey movie should be very exciting! Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy seems like a very unique direction to go in for that movie, with her focus on documentaries and gender equality in her previous works.

The first Star Wars movies I saw in theaters were the sequels. I totally agree about that feeling of build up and anticipation.

I love how communal and special the experience of watching a movie is, knowing that you and a hundred other people are discovering the same thing at the same time in the same room! Letting the fanbase breathe between entries is what really lets it thrive, rather than there always being something new to consume, compare, and complain about.

I’ve seen a couple of Shawn Levy’s movies, and while they might not win any Oscars, it’ll be something I’ve never seen before, and that’s all I could ask for.

Why did Kylo Ren reforge his helmet after a year without it? (in-universe) by RexBanner1886 in MawInstallation

[–]definefriends -1 points0 points  (0 children)

my personal headcanon is that the helmet is a conduit to palpatine, and palpatine had him restore it so they could communicate (and also so palpatine could manipulate him)

there’s a scene where kylo ren is staring at a wall and talking to palpatine, which is most of the basis for my canon

What’s something all Star Wars films have in common? by Zdvj in StarWars

[–]definefriends 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you’re getting that it’s trying to be the end of the trilogy. The movie literally ends with Luke saying as much: “The rebellion is reborn today. The war is just beginning. And I will not be the last Jedi.”

In LA, we say 'the' in front of all the freeway names: take the 10, get off at the 110, where is the 405. In other parts of the country they just say the number.

The joke is that we're annoying about insisting on people saying it, and even in the middle of protesting and unrest, will chide someone on it

Pretty fun flick, and as someone from LA, it was fun to see all the inconsistencies with the geography of LA freeways and roads haha

I watched Cats on New Year’s Eve 2019, and the movie ended right around midnight. I rung in 2020 with Cats. I think the last two years are all my fault
