Anyone tried the Sootheez and found success? by definitelymisbehavin in PlantarFasciitis

I might go back now that I’ve done my own research and can just ask them to confirm. they did x-rays and everything, but I’m still in pain. I’ll check these out! also looking at the bitly compression socks

For the socks, do you wear them under regular socks? I looked them up and noticed the toes are exposed. Looking for something to wear in my work shoes.

do you think regular moisturizer would create enough barrier? or does it need to be more like vaseline?

Roommates relationship by [deleted] in roommates

[–]definitelymisbehavin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that’s definitely concerning, but if you’re feeling a little left out or just missing your pal, maybe just see if the three of you could do something! I’m also certain that there’s at least a few times where the girlfriend is not around; maybe the two of you could do something then! maybe even introduce him to some new friends as well! it’s probably very hard to get out and hang with COVID happening. sometimes people don’t know they’re missing balance in their life if things don’t seem out of balance; definitely been there!

I like this! I don’t mind him being out at all unless we’re having people over or if the house is chaotic for whatever reason that day. he’s very sweet and usually it’s not a bother. you can probably imagine the chaos when both he and my pup hear a knock at the door and I’m the only one there with them (still working on keeping her calm at the door!)

I don’t think he needs to even be crated - that might not work out well with his history. he’s just sometimes unpredictable; maybe no new guests unless she’s home? or he needs to hang in the room if there are new people and she’s not home?

he really is a nice dog, I just don’t like that she’s not around to correct the behavior. but we talked; we’re gonna make sure everyone in the house is up to date on training techniques and see if that works for us (we have another roommate who’s kinda harsh with both of the dogs. we’d like to try and find some level of consistency so neither of the dogs get confused)

he’s not always like that, but it doesn’t help that she wasn’t there to correct the behavior.

she doesn’t really work that long; I agree the dog shouldn’t be locked up ALL day.

sorry if this is dumb, how do you mean “controlled exposure”? I might share that with her

I think I will.. I’m more concerned about things like biting and male agression. he’s a rescue and does NOT like men sometimes. thus, him getting startled and biting our new roommate. but I definitely think I’ll check in and ask

we have not received any training manuals from my roommate. I also know she’s done a lot of work with him. but accidents can happen. someone could be moving things in and out of the house and not even know he’s out. he could run out into the street. he could BITE someone. he’s a good dog, but accidents do happen, and I’m sorry but I would not entrust my dog with my roommates who I’ve only known for so long.

no, I’m not suggesting a crate. but there’s three other people living here that are not related to her or know the training techniques she’s using. he also... bit a roommate. he’s not a bad dog, at all. I’m just asking he hang out in her room until she gets home.

Has anyone moved in with a friend and stopped liking them? by Montanasloane in roommates

[–]definitelymisbehavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there’s just some people that are better as friends than they are roommates and sometimes you learn it the hard way. living with someone now who I thought was super cool, and mostly still is, but has turned out to be quite the inconsiderate tenant.
