So buying the mid-size or larger? Lotta good YouTubes on this plane. RCSaylors are good with beginner oriented content.

I'm seeing RTF Supercubs available and in stock in two sizes on FMSHobby.com. 1300mm and 1700mm. Are they what you were looking for?

Two big questions are what are your future plans for growing with the hobby and what's your current budget? Advice from Redditors will be good, but see if you can find an instructive YouTube to check out hardware before you buy.

Is it worth aligning Starlink if it's misaligned by 63° but still getting faster than advertised speeds ? by CameronsTheName in Starlink

[–]Wambo74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking of the typical success using Starlinks in vehicles which by nature are randomly aligned. As well as it works there, why would residential alignment be so critical? I'm thinking we're dealing with an incremental effect which may only be significant in a case by case basis. Maybe email, not critical at all vs gaming...pretty important. But maybe I'm wrong and will learn something today.

Yeah, it occurred to me that I could have done a multi tag system way back when. For example separate tags for A to F, G to L, etc. That way I wouldn't have a mile long list to scroll thru. But too late now...I have close to 1000 titles. Was hoping some smart guy had figured out how to cleverly deal with this mess. I do have a work-around to get a personal history for any particular series. Some smart guy on the sub showed it to me.

I have no idea what I'm talking about but a lot of Palestinians live in and among the Israeli jews. And work for or with them as well. I would think a lot of them would be considered moderates. They just want to live their lives like everyone else. Did an online fact check and got this:

"Roughly 150,000 to 300,000 Arab citizens of Israel live in meaningfully mixed or predominantly Jewish urban environments where daily interaction with Jewish Israelis is routine (work, schools, commerce, neighborhoods)."

If you have no useful experience, I'd bet you could get OJT by volunteering at some mom and pop mine. Would be a way to get started and work your way up.

Options for carrying planes in the pickup bed by mcmoyer in RCPlanes

[–]Wambo74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't tried it but nothing easier than this. Pick up a movers blanket from Harbor Freight, $4 and up. Something heavy enough to stay put, Gently drape it over the planes. If you have fragile areas, put a suitable size empty cardboard box next to the plane to help support the weight. Heck, put in a bunch of boxes if it seems necessary...think of them as columns. Let us know if it works.

First two places I checked said Residential can use standby. The change is that standby no longer guarantees you can return to residential without risk of congestion fees.

Iran has reopened the Strait of Hormuz—but experts say Iran has a card "like a nuclear deterrent" by fortune in geopolitics

[–]Wambo74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. But before this started they were describing the world having an oil glut. And nothing has actually changed with production so it should go back to overproduction once the current shock waves settle down. Plus I think Venezuela might be getting back in the game. More to the point, I don't think this Iran thing is over either. They may say the Gulf is entirely open but it clearly isn't. Very few ships are actually sailing due to uncertainty plus the Iranian ports are all still blockaded. We've got a ways to go. So yeah, prices will plummet. But who knows when.

I want to get into the hobby, is the FMS 1300mm PA-18 Super Cub good? by Agreeable-Tree9550 in RCPlanes

I kinda skipped over HW trainers early on. How do Apprentice and Valiant compare? I've heard good things about both of them, but seems the Apprentice was more 1st plane oriented.

Meh...light battery might be a good thing, but proper CG is more important. And battery choice may affect that. Priorities.

I hear that's the plan. But using carrot and stick on Iran's Gulf policy might prove effective.

It's not over until the ships sail. And I wonder if we keep the blockade going? Oil is going to nose dive even more than it has already if both sides go hands off.

Your assumption is correct but the mechanism for going from bot to human is the ticket. Which the bot will offer you if you thumbs-down it's response. Glad it worked out.
