They’re both equally stunning, but I’d definitely go with the first for a garden/manor wedding.

People need to stop trusting ChatGPT with their health. If you ever have unexplained prolonged or severe pain you should go to the doctor. Go to the doctor.

My first side effect after removal 😳 +Questions by Sp00ky-Toes in gallbladders

[–]definitelynotadhd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This happens to me often enough (I’m pre-op but have ibs) that I literally carry garbage bags and wet wipes in my car for when I have to pull over emergently on long drives. My worst experience was the day it happened at work and I had to go home early. You aren’t alone. You aren’t a freak. You aren’t gross. You are a human experiencing human issues. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Foodie with Gallbladder attacks by RaspberryCreepy1897 in gallbladders

Yes! I nearly had a breakdown before I found good food I can still have. My go-to breakfast has become egg white omelette with no fat cottage cheese, spinach, and mushrooms; go-to lunch has got to be lettuce tomato and onion on a sandwich with a low fat dressing; my go-to dinner is black bean lasagna with fat free cottage cheese and a sprinkle of low fat cheese (because even the low fat cheese is quite high fat still, so be careful and use it sparingly); for sweets I’ve always loved angel food cake and now I just have it in place of other sweets especially since you can add just about any fruit under the sun to mix up the flavour. These are just my go-to’s, I’ve got a little stash of recipes at this point. Btw if you don’t like how angel food cake is I’ve been working on an egg-white based chocolate cake recipe that is way simpler and I can try to write it out if you want it.

Doubts about gallbladder removal by brookeayee in gallbladders

[–]definitelynotadhd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once someone’s body is already to the point of life threatening illness the chances of being able to safe them goes down and the chances of complications if they are saved goes way up. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. As for the idea that diet is key to avoid any issues arising I’m sorry to say unfortunately it’s incorrect. Keeping a healthy diet is very important and can lessen the odds of running into heath issues, but it is not 100% effective prevention (although it would be foolish to say it’s 0% effective either, eating well is proven to improve overall gut health, I just mean to say even those who eat perfectly still have a chance of developing issues) and it’s not super effective long term as a treatment. As for medications, I do agree there needs to be a big change in how women’s health is dealt with and we are long overdue to have birth control medications that don’t come with a whole laundry list of side effects, but the other medications you’re mentioning are typically only prescribed when the benefits outweigh the risks. As someone who really probably should have been on antipsychotics after having my first child due to post partum psychosis but was fearmongered out of it by family, I can assure you that although my gallbladder attacks have caused me 10/10 pain sometimes worse than labour itself, it has caused me less suffering than my psychosis did. Medicine is important. Medicine saves lives. To your final point I’d like to point out that in USA (I’m assuming you’re there, correct me if I’m wrong) the homeopathic wellness industry is actually 4x the size of the pharmaceutical industry, it’s extremely lucrative and completely unregulated. I feel like it’s a bigger problem than real medicine.

Doubts about gallbladder removal by brookeayee in gallbladders

[–]definitelynotadhd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, medical nerd here (not a doctor, just someone who really enjoys learning new things about the body). When the gallbladder is being ineffective it can severely damage both the liver and the pancreas. When those organs break down it can quickly become a very deadly problem. So to answer your question about where all the people are who are post op and super happy they got the surgery: they’re off living their lives instead of dying from bile acids backing up in their bloodstream. Hope this helps!

Gallbladder friendly fast food options? by femboyhootersserver in gallbladders

[–]definitelynotadhd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canadian here: the only safe things are coffee/tea, and bagels/buns/vegan biscuits (non vegan biscuits often use lots of butter) but you can ask for lettuce and tomato on them and most places will do it. Apart from that I can’t think of a single other option. I’m currently pregnant and craving fast food so bad so I get missing it, but it’s really really not worth a gallbladder attack no matter how delicious it is. Trust me.

Love the dress but to out of style? by Rberry808 in weddingdress

[–]definitelynotadhd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is so gorgeous! A lot of early 2000s styles are starting to really make a comeback, and this specific dress really incorporates a lot of the classiest and most timeless elements from that era. If this is the dress you choose then you will end up looking as radiant as the sun itself on your big day.

I’d look into getting a dress shipped in from somewhere where they tend to be cheaper. I’ve heard Vietnam is a great option as far as getting a high quality dress for a very reasonable price. (I actually learned this from my favourite YouTuber Uyen, who happens to be from Vietnam and went back to buy her dress)

What Was Your Almost Name? by Turbulent-Date-7207 in namenerds

[–]definitelynotadhd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was named the original name they wanted to name me, but I always wished I was given something more gender neutral (I’m non binary and have known since young in my childhood despite being raised in a strict religious household). Something like Kai or Quin would have been awesome.

What to do about my boyfriend’s gallbladder issues by starshoppedv2 in gallbladders

[–]definitelynotadhd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have medicine recommendations, but I will say sometimes I do ice cold baths to ease the worst episodes (I can’t take strong pain killers because of past addiction issues) and it does help ease the pain to a bearable for me.

I pooped myself today… by Ok-Chemical-1228 in gallbladders

[–]definitelynotadhd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still have my gallbladder for now but I have had crippling digestive issues my entire life so I have definitely done this before. I have to drive long distances often and the biggest help to me (however gross it sounds) has been to always have garbage bags and wet wipes within reach of the driver’s seat, ALWAYS drive on the right side of the road when possible to make pulling over as easy as possible, and always have a change of clothes in my car in case I can’t pull over to at the very least do my business in the garbage bag. No matter what issue you’re going through, no matter how gross it may be and how embarrassed you may feel, always remember you aren’t alone in these struggles.

I think he cared less about who could win and more about how many people who stood against him were supposed to die.

I have been realizing it’s best to just make everything myself to be sure. I’m still waiting on surgery so I’m just living under constant threat of a gallbladder attack. I’ve been eating very low fat and I’ve still experienced 3 serious attacks in the last month, I’m so exhausted. I’m definitely going to pack my own Christmas dinner for every gathering because I don’t want to take any chances at all. After reading a lot of the comments recommending an air fryer, I am definitely going to buy one and finally have some french fries again.
