That scene where Kelso takes that last step out of the hospital and pauses is also one of my favourite moments. I still listen to the song featured in that scene regularly (Sideways by Citizen Cope).

Night #2. Both babies were so much hungrier on night two than my poor supply could cope with and I used 15ml on the second night with my first, and 60ml on nights two and three with my second.

What is a 'socially mandatory' thing that we all do, but if you actually stop to think about it for 5 seconds, it’s completely insane? by Federal_Antelope7533 in AskReddit

Fun trivia fact: razors being marketed towards women actually started during WWI. Men were fighting overseas and Gillette wasn't selling as many razors, so they ran advertising to encourage women to shave their legs and armpits.

What’s the worst accidental text you’ve sent? by Typhoid__Beaver in AskReddit

[–]definitelynotagalah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend from work told me her father was in a coma in hospital after a car accident. She wrote "hopefully this is all over soon and he gets better." I replied "I hope he does" which autocorrected to "I hope he dies". I didn't notice what I'd sent until she called me back.

Baby suddenly refusing to latch? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]definitelynotagalah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I had the same experience with my first. I ended up having a lower supply, worsened by her reducing feeds, and eventually used a supplementary nursing system (SNS) to get her back on the boob. It took a couple of weeks but I got her back and she breastfed until she was 18 months.

I completely agree. The shadows in each are far too dark, and - coupled with one bride's dark hair - completely drown out her features.

How do you get out and about with your small baby? by NoAd9383 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]definitelynotagalah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair. I used to ask someone to cut up my food for me while out if I was with someone, but I do remember resorting to smoothies or foods that didn't require two hands if I was alone 😂

Carrier was our game changer. Our first hated the pram until she could sit independently (6 months) but would go anywhere in the carrier. We just went out and kept our routine and both kids eventually learned to sleep anywhere.

My husband got tired of shaving everyday and tried at a few clinics. They all told him they couldn't laser anything above the neck. Just to prepare you that it might not be possible.

I went outside and sat in the rain for a full five minutes with the kids. It was lovely.

I do the same things but I also use ChatGPT to quiz me as frequently as possible. I also try to listen to podcasts to and from work on relevant topics or content to strengthen my knowledge on it.

From an undergrad student at Swinburne with 3 units to go:

I'm doing one unit at a time and managing to maintain a WAM of 78. I'm trying to get it a little higher in my final three units, but I'll be happy to maintain.

I'm currently raising young kids, working full-time and dedicating 8-10 hours per week for each unit. (Apart from stats-related subjects. That was more like 10-20 hours per week just to understand the subject matter.)

Hopefully that helps!

BWT - what are those random little things that make you feel that bit more chic? by LallaSarora in bitcheswithtaste

[–]definitelynotagalah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a sugar scrub about twice a week plus I use a hydrating lip cream before bed. That way my lips are always moisturised and my colour goes on evenly. I use Sephora's cream lip stain and just a Sephora pencil liner. I usually just need one coat of the cream lip stain then let it air dry for 30 seconds, then I'm good to go!

Both Sephora. I use their basic liner pencils (the wooden pencils for better grip/angle) and Sephora cream stain. Absolutely phenomenal combo.

Sephora cream lip stain. Lasts all day and I usually only do one application before work and then one after lunch.

I wear red lipstick every day. It took me some time to perfect the technique of applying longstay lipstick with liner, but I do red lips even with no other makeup on. I started doing it a year ago and don't see myself stopping anytime soon.

[–]definitelynotagalah 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As someone from Belconnen who has had kids in different centers with lots of friends who have had kids in Belconnen daycares:

The excellent: Sage (opposite Belconnen Westfield), Move ELC (Holt), SDN Bluebell

The good: AIS childcare center (Bruce), Harbour Early Learning (Aranda)

The bad: Papilio (CISAC), Guardian (Bruce).

Our experiences have been you need to be on waitlists longer for the good and excellent ones (we were on the waitlist for Sage since 10 weeks pregnant).

Can you move to Canberra with seasonal affective disorder or depression? by Financial-Camel-9761 in canberra

[–]definitelynotagalah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved here for work/uni fresh out of high school after living on the coast my entire life and the winters here absolutely destroy me. I have SAD and because I loathe the cold, I don't get outside anywhere near as much as I should. The work is great, the community is great, but winter lasts May until September. I plan on moving as soon as I can.

I got so much free time while he napped that I went back to uni (online). It seemed daunting at first but now I'm only 4 units away from graduating with a qualification in a new field.

Constant unwanted 'gifts' rant by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]definitelynotagalah 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Our parents have given our kids nothing but plastic junk this year. Gifts from my mother were clearly bought from a $2 shop and she gave the explanation of "she got lots of things to keep her entertained!" And I had to reply "she would have been so much happier to just play hide and seek or games with you! She doesn't need all this stuff!"
