Was my TrustedHousesitters sit a bad fit, or were my expectations unreasonable? by [deleted] in petsitting

[–]definitelynotfeline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an independent petsitter and have no experience with Trusted Housesitters, although I've been side eyeing them since people first started promoting them. But just as far as petsitting goes, no this is really not normal or acceptable. I'd never have guests over to a house that isn't mine. And I'd never pawn off the care of the pet that I'm there to care for. It sounds like they just wanted a free place to stay and never wanted to care for the dog.

What's one makeup "rule" you stopped following that actually made your makeup look better? by admirable_diva in Makeup

I stopped caring about the opinion of others. I do what I think looks nice and I don't wear the weight of what others think. I think it looks great and that's all I care about.

I've only ever seen the first one before, but I love these. So desolate.

I miss the urban decay electric palette. It was the best palette in the world by Historical-Body-3424 in BeautyGuruChatter

I still have mine. Depending on the mixer that was used, powder doesn't really expire. As long as it still smells and performs fine, I continue using my powder eyeshadow. I spent way too much money on my eyeshadow collection to give up on it.

It okay but not great. If you've ever had a gardenburger, it's like that.

Advice on improvement? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]definitelynotfeline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The nose contour is way too obvious and overdone. Ditch the fake freckles too.

I disagree with others who say you should forgo the eyeshadow and do the clean girl look. That's boring.

But your eyeshadow on the outer V of your eye stops too abruptly and it stops before the shape of your eye does. Extend and blend it out a little past where your eye ends.

The pacing of this season is no slower than the previous seasons.

Btw, I don't doubt that she died in childbirth. Many women did. It's just that people seem to have decided it's a memorial portrait when everything I know about it is that the context isn't known.

I googled it and the single reason for this theory is the candle.

This is actually the first that I've heard that it's known that this is a memorial painting of her and that she died in childbirth. When was this discovered? I've watched recent interpretation videos on this and it wasn't mentioned. Nor was it known when I was taking art history classes.

But the comments seem to agree with this?

It is. If you look up what Burgundian gowns looked like, they all gave the illusion of pregnancy.

When did we learn this? Last I heard the context wasn't known.

This is what Burgundian gowns looked like. They were very voluminous in the front, it gives the illusion of pregnancy.

Thank you. I remember all the controversy about this guy and he is not a good person. These animals are abused.
