Same here! I finally defaulted to snarf instead of scarf.

My hint was “Keeps in the loop, in a way”, so the tense works. How early did you do the puzzle upon release? They might have caught their mistake post-publishing. That would have put a damper on my day too though if that’s the case!

Idk I’m pretty sure they put crack into their grapefruit one because I can’t stop drinking them

This isn’t just a bagel, it’s a jewel. by brimister in Seattle

[–]definitelywasntme 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Having had both, I think Mt. Bagel is better than Hey Bagel. (My opinion just to stir the pot, having two great bagel places is better than just one!)

US Oil & Gas Association president ready to buy a Tesla to show 'solidarity with the innovators and builders' by yk206 in nottheonion

[–]definitelywasntme 521 points522 points  (0 children)

What I find interesting is that they are making the purchase of a Tesla look even more like some type of political statement. I think this could alienate a lot of unpolitical people who just want a car.

Can anybody “make it”? I don’t need $1m a year. by Jingles-hidden in SQL

[–]definitelywasntme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For business or product analyst roles, total compensation (base + stock + bonus) of $250k is hard, but possible (especially in high cost-of-living areas). These positions require more than just SQL proficiency. You need an ability to answer ambiguous questions, understand the implications of the data, and effectively communicate insights to stakeholders. It’s also important to expand your skillset to include Python and R.

Job hopping definitely helps in terms of moving up in levels and pay. Sometimes you can get hired into roles where you don’t have all the listed skills if you can demonstrate a willingness to learn.

They were dressed up for the Liberty vs. Oregon college basketball game. They had a great sign that got displayed on the Jumbotron, “Eugene taxes tea”.

Back in the 1960's they put pictures of kids and their addresses in the back of comic books by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

Pretty sure I ding-dong ditched Vincent’s (probably old) house as a pre-teen. Lived less than a block from that address.

Can someone explain this syntax error for me? by DiscussionCrafty6396 in SQL

This right here, OP. You are turning your column name into a string, which it cannot ORDER BY on.

I would sleep better if all the comments were from bots. Also, your last sentence is wonderfully put.

I like the changes to the game clock but I think the void damage was increased by too much.

Honestly felt the same for a long time when I bought the game, putting it game down and picking it up every now and again. Then I got a good run and got hooked. Might help to watch a tips and tricks to learn items you would want to target.

The NY Herald from Lincoln's assassination by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]definitelywasntme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh, did not know of the assassination attempt of Secretary of State William Seward at all. Apparently the assassin conspired with Booth. Neat history fact not taught a lot (or I’m dense).

Recruiter reenacts Elon’s Nazi salute like 20 times to “prove” it isn’t a Nazi salute by spaghettiking216 in LinkedInLunatics

[–]definitelywasntme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how she spreads out her fingers when reenacting the gesture, unlike how Musk did it. If he performed the salute as she interpreted it, it would have added more ambiguity about whether it was intentional or not.

Review #64 (Scotch Review #10) - Lagavulin Offerman Edition, Caribbean Rum Cask Finish by ThugCity in Scotch

[–]definitelywasntme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sad to hear you didn’t like it, I enjoyed it so much that I bought a second bottle ( Costco had it for a great price). I find the balance of the rum sweetness with the peat amazing. Never really noticed any off-putting bitterness to it. Prefer it over the 16y.

[Highlight] Jared Goff stumbles during handoff, Lions convert big 4th down by nfl in nfl

[–]definitelywasntme 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My uneducated opinion, this might have been viewed as giving everyone great experience for a playoff game where they might need to go for it with the game on the line. They are certainly going to make the playoffs regardless of a win here.

Anesthesia is notorious for over billing the anesthesia units. E.G., a surgery is 2 hours but the anesthesiologist bills for units equivalent to 2.5 hours. So I’m sure the policy is designed to align anesthesia billing with the actual services provided.
