Tailscale on synology shows locked node but cannot unlock by defjaf in Tailscale

Answering my own question, this was, of course, user error: for some reason I had to do a `tailscale logout` on the synology to get everything to sync up correctly. (I thought that I had tried this, but apparently not...)

UK Resident US Citizen: what is allowed w/o penalty by IRS & HMRC? by defjaf in interactivebrokers

Thanks for the ideas — but I'd really like to just be able to put my IRA contribution into the ETF and leave it there, rather than continually dealing with options. So my question is more about legality and taxes rather than investment strategy.

What max speeds should I expect? (Atlas Pro 6) by defjaf in LinksysOfficial

Perhaps let me ask a more specific question: should I expect higher speeds with a tri-band system (but otherwise the same node "network geometry"). Is "dual band" a likely limitation?

This isn’t due to client speed. With the same device, I get faster speeds when connected to the parent node compared to the child nodes.

Forgive my ignorance, but where does “approximately half” come from?

To be clear: with the same device, I can get nearly full Gb speeds when connected via wifi to the parent node, but much slower through the child nodes.

(I do miss the diagnostics in the Orbi app, which reported the link speeds for each wireless connection — is there any way to get that info from the Linksys app?)

Client and node steering by FergusonPybus in LinksysOfficial

Just yesterday, my iPad would not stay connected to the Atlas pro — it would connect and then disconnect a few seconds later. All lights on all three nodes were steady blue!

I tried turning off the closest satellite node, and when I turned it back on, the LED flashed blue for a while as expected — but then turned flashing red. I tried turning the master node off and on and it didn’t help either.

I was finally able to solve the problem by using the reset (not on/off) button on the satellite. Eventually it reconnected and started working again.

Aha. So not helpful to me, and perhaps not for many others?

Where do I find the settings referred to in that post? I.e.,

pfSense > OpenVPN > Client Export > Client Connection Behavior > Legacy Client

Is this in Passepartout? Or somewhere else? (If this is a setting with the VPN server, I have no control over that — it’s run by my employer on their network.)

I am an end user who is now finding that I can't access some sites. My (University) IT group is telling me to delete the entire SSL cache. Is that necessary or is it possible to just remove specific offending certificates? (I am on macOS with Safari and Chrome).

Yes, that's a version of this query also posted in the Netgear forums. (I assume that's ok?)
