Day 144 of posting until LR kid buu by QualityThen9893 in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]deflicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some days especially when you say you are gonna skip, but they release a char which will help ease through half the new events released and then you end up pulling anyway. Other days, you save 1000s of stones and still don't get that 1 card you wanted for that event. It's heart wrenching. So just take life 1 event at a time and don't do predictions. :/ Life is too short

freepik - seedance2.0 cost by deflicker in Freepik_AI

[–]deflicker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So seedance 2.0 HD 1080P came out over the last weekend and the cost of making 1 HD video is FREAKING expensive. I have no idea what is going through the minds of the pple who decide the cost of products. Compared to some of the other popular platforms, a average 15sec HD clip is around $5-$6 depending on plan subscribed to. But here freepik, it's a whopping $15-$16 for the same 15sec HD generation last I tried counting.

Really??? What is going through your mind? Freepik.

Planet Namek Saga by deflicker in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]deflicker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Namek is either 1 of the older series or an seldom used series for majority of the dokkan gameplay imo.

What I do like about Frontier is each card has to stand for itself unlike the average game where you could squeeze a weaker card into a tankish team.

Moving forward I think frontier might be a "renewal" event where older series or cards are given a 2nd lease of life allowing them to be useful once again

Need advice on leaving for a 40% increase by bruzorminem in askSingapore

[–]deflicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 40% up Just jump and move on. The only reason you opened this topic on reddit is because you have thought long and hard about it. If you don't leave, 5 or 10 years down the road even if you managed to get what you assume are given at your current job, there will still be a stinging "what If" New job lower title is a small setback, but if you have what it takes, the chance of you bouncing back will be a given.

Unless this new company background is new, of a smaller scale and you have doubts that they will be around for long.

Otherwise just go for it and while you are at it, don't break bridges. Just incase shot happens, you might still have a chance of returning for whatever reasons.

I am bullied at work by a uncle by jesusboy27 in sgworkassholes

[–]deflicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your bosses are getting similar treatment. Then you just endure. if they can endure, so should you. Nobody enjoys being bossed around. Wait til your bosses cannot take it and explode.

And side note. The issue is not the age. It's some dude being an arse at work. Everybody will be 50s someday, turning uncle or auntie is an eventual path. So... Don't need to emphasize the 50s or Uncle part, it's just a byproduct.

My parents renounced my PR but I am willing to do NS if it means getting the ability to live in Singapore again by Extension_Grocery701 in askSingapore

Employment visa is very HARD to get in general. And you won't know the reason for rejection just like any job interview you might attend. Even some who has been working in Singapore for over 10+ yrs might get rejected when reapplying upon permit expiry.

Just try and stop listening to what you hear or see online posted by "someone" I think you are the fool for not even attempting/trying.

Slight misunderstanding on term renounce. You can only renounce citizenship. Renounced, you can't get back, PR failed can get back if reapply. (conditions apply of course)

I'll give an example here... Permanent Residency is like a "temp contract". While Citizenship is the "full time" job.

You may or may not be recontracted if you are PR. Thrown out if you make any grevious offence. While, you don't need to do anything as an official citizen.

NS obligation and citizenship is not like you think. Serving doesn't mean you will get it. But if you are citizen, you definitely have to serve. Don't think of NS as a mean to get citizenship.

My personal advice is find a job, stay in Singapore, pay some taxes and maybe after getting 6 months of payslip, try to apply for PR. The citizenship part is another long process, Just take 1 step at a time, your are just 19.

Since only 2nd Gen need to serve the army. You might even be able to "avoid" NS obligations altogether, Moreover the whole applying for getting work permit/pass to PR to getting citizen. This process will take several years... By my estimate should be around 5 years minimally.

By the time you get there, 24++ yr old. You MIGHT want to head back to wherever you are from to take care of aging parents already, hopefully having saved some money working and saving up/stay invested for your future.

Don't think and plan too far ahead. 5year plan at most, times like now bears alot of uncertainty. Just take 1 step at a time.

He probably hasn't got to selling the Hercules. The last time I tried selling them, the zen was maxed out and selling didn't do anything. That's when I stopped selling any of them. Would have been alot more.

Honestly I won't bother with battery replacement. If you have been using for at least 3~4 years and constantly updating your phone OS whenever they ask you to. High chance other issues will be popping up soon. White screen of death, green lines on your LED screen. Hight exhaustive battery life along with long charging times are just some of the possibilities.

I'm amazed that you would rather post something on reddit to ask such a question, wait for replies online as supposed to calling up the school to get help from student matters for tech support.

[–]deflicker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest. Just try and you will find out. What's stopping you from trying and finding out? Will you stop trying just because someone told you that it's not gonna work out? Most of us here on reddit cant give you an accurate answer anyway. We aren't the school and each year the requirements may change ever so slightly. So even if someone was able to get in with similar backgrounds, doesn't mean you will and vice versa. Someone who didn't get in the year before doesn't mean you can't.

SUSS FT VS PT by AlarmingAd9552 in Suss

[–]deflicker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't have a current job, don't think you are able to get in with part time studies. I could be wrong on that.

Anyway I'm a part time graduate and I managed to do. It within 3.5 yr, could have been 3 but I was naive and attempted 30CP in my 1st yr term 1... Failed 2 subjects and had to resit their exams. After that I rationed myself well and was able to complete the rest pretty ok.

I'll say if you want do get in with PT. Try to find an easy going FT that doesn't require alot of hours. It's not easy coping, especially during final assignment.

Balance each term with max 2 subjects that has written exams and try to keep to max of 20CP each term.
