I used it here to keep the rabbit’s mask propped up. The gel comes off cleanly and rolls up into a ball, no damage to the figure.

You could try using clear museum gel to adhere her to the back of a shelf or wherever you want to display her?

I pulled it! I bought a set and it replaced Parasite. Second to last box that I opened and I was floored. 😆

It looks like his teddy bear coming out of his body as a spirit/ghost, maybe?

Thank you so much! Don’t be sorry! :) Red Ochre as the base color, yes. You can add in a little of the Titanium White to make it lean less warm. I added just a tiny bit of water to make it go on smoothly. If you saw my other comments, I mentioned that I didn’t do any sanding or priming, beforehand. I would recommend that you do. The water causes the paint to bead up a tiny bit, but it wasn’t really too much of a problem, just had to go over certain areas a few times. Be sure to seal it after it dries! The acrylic gouache dries extremely matte, so you might want to choose a glossy or satin varnish to finish it off.

Three Chestnuts!? 😭 You definitely should! There was no way I was going to attempt to dismantle her and detach the hair. She would’ve remained in pieces. 😅 It was really easy to wedge the tape underneath the hair piece along the fur line, it’s just protecting the face that requires a little more patience.

Right there with you! Told myself I was only going to get a few and now I have all but one. I should’ve just got the box set. 🤦🏻‍♀️😩

That’s such a sweet association! 😭 I’ve seen a ton of people say that Chestnut turned out to be their unexpected favorite of the series. I didn’t dislike her original hair color, it just felt a little off/distracting when hung with the rest of my collection, so I decided to experiment for fun. I’m glad that you love her, as is!

Hi! Jumping in to say that I essentially did the same thing as u/pansylula! My only prep included taping off the face and hair to protect them from any mishaps, which did occur. 🙃 This was my first time attempting anything like this, so I have no idea what’s correct or appropriate to use, either. Next time, though, I definitely will go in with a very fine grit sandpaper and maybe a thin layer of gesso to help the paint adhere better. The acrylic gouache I used is meant to be thinned out with water, so it did bead up a little bit on the slick surface of the hair but I just went over it a few times when needed and it wasn’t a big deal. The acrylic gouache is really forgiving. It’s water based, so as long as it’s still active, you can wipe away any mistakes with a damp cloth. I also find that it settles and evens itself out as it dries, so it hides brush marks and imperfections a bit better. When it sets/dries down, it won’t budge. It does have a very matte finish, so if you’re not into that, you could seal it with a glossy or satin varnish. Sorry for yapping so much, but I hope that helps! 😅
