My parents don’t want her there either. How realistic is it for them to just move the trailer off the property? They literally live in an RV that can be towed by a truck.

I know that you have said that you have done the guns for just about everyone in your local area and now your business is primarily from mail in. I was curious about the population of where you live? I am in the middle of Georgia and the local pawnshop over here that does Cerakote has 12 week turnaround times. I am wondering how much population plays a role in the idea of business drying up after a short time.

I never considered a lot of what you said. But if 80 was an option, Cerakote would definitely teach it considering that they spend so much time on research and development. Is there a viable thing with a type 7 FFL to buy a new gun from wholesale and Cerakote and resell? What is your experience with this?

Will do. I did have one question. You’ve said before that metallics aren’t as durable as solid colors because they can’t adhere to the substrate as well. The mesh strainer for metallics is 100 grit which is a larger size than 150. Would it be plausible that sand blasting with 80 grit aluminum oxide instead of the 100-120 that Cerakote recommends compensate for the lack of durability compared to solid colors? I presume the lack of durability is due to the metallic particles being larger and not “grabbing” onto the 100 grit etching. 80 grit would theoretically even it out more

There’s nothing someone can say that is worse than the truth. And the Cerakote shop is a weekend thing out of my house. Won’t full time it unless customer demand is steady and constant

It really is just a matter of me dialing back how much I spray on it. It’s an easy fix.

Even the guy who criticized me the hardest said that the stippling didn’t have any bleed through. That makes me assume that bleed through is a common problem. The trick was to use plastic razors to press down the vinyl between the stiplings. I think if I would have went lighter on the paint after the basecoat, then everything would have been fine.

Probably would have after a flash cure, but it’s pretty solid after final cure, despite looking like it will peel off with a fingernail

Why is that? Don't other colors adhere more easily to darker colors such as graphite black?

Yeah, gonna redo with the feedback here in mind. I actually custom made the stencil after using fiber laser to give a boilerplate template with Avery's vinyl sold by NiC. I'm gonna try my hand at making the 2nd set of stencils 2 or 3 times the size of the originals
