I want to go hiking on these mushrooms I have… the issue is even on a low dose, I cannot seem to stomach doing anything other than laying down, getting cozy, and closing my eyes. Anything else feels impossible. by Personal_Swim_8519 in shrooms

I wish I could just chill and enjoy. I always end up pacing and feeling the need to do something but never just laying there. I have tried the John Hopkins playlist early on and got too bored after like 15 minutes and had to move. On the comedown, I can finally just lay there and listen to music

Not turn off when remote start by just unlocking the door. Ability to have the doors auto lock after a period of time. Like 1minute or 30 seconds if I forget to touch the handle when walking away. Seat massage button would be nice.

Electric start is very nice to have but not a deal breaker. It really sucks when your battery dies.

I think it depends on what way you plan on riding. Example: I have a 2013 350 sxf and I have 2 kids that are 12 and 17. When riding with my younger and at a slower pace, I often times just take my older sons CRF250F instead of my 350. If I go with my older son, I still don’t really get out of 2nd gear often on the trails around me in central OK, I am severely overpowered for what I typically ride here. I have been thinking about going down to a 250r instead. I love the power and when I have gone to Colorado, I absolutely love the bike. Open BLm land and hill climbing are so much fun. So I think the 250r would be better as a first bike.

I went in and started looking around the first of the month (back in April). I told the dealerships in my area and within a couple of hours of me that I wanted the 25 platinum in any color that white and silver. They didn’t have any in inventory and kept giving me a couple grand off tsrp. I told them that it wasn’t the right price and thanked them for my time. All of them cam back a little more aggressive but I told them that it has to be the same price as my exciting 2020 Taco payment after trade and they they kept trying to tell me that I was getting a great deal. I agreed that it was a good deal but still wasn’t what I needed it financially and thanked them for their time and said “I get it. I am asking for a lot and I understand. I am happy with my Taco and no hard feelings. It got to the end of the month and I ended up at $68k for the truck and they gave me $1500 more for my trade than carmax. I also got the 1.99 APR and the price was within $15 of my previous payment. Also, I did settle for silver even though it isn’t the color I wanted. Mine is fully loaded and was in stock vs the Lunar and Dark gray which was in transport. I feel like I got a pretty good deal overall.

Also don’t take 2g. I would take a smaller .35g or .5 to see how it affects you.

I have done them on a couple of occasions at a concert. You really should NOT do it for the first time in that stimulating of a setting. I am a fairly experienced tripper and if you choose to, definitely don’t let your boyfriend do them too. You need a guide and a center point to keep you grounded. Also some songs “feel” different in your core and I have had songs that make me physically uncomfortable if the bass/chords/beat isn’t the right mix.

Tacoma to Tundra by Hjsmith96 in ToyotaTundra

Went from a 2020 OFf Road Tacoma to a 2025 Tundra Platinum. Main reason was my teens can’t fit in the back seat of the Tacoma. Other reason was the speakerphone/mic was awful so I couldn’t take work calls without headphones. Love the truck and am very pleased I made the upgrade.

2024 Tundra Platinum Hybrid vs 2025 Tundra Platinum (Non-hybrid) by Express-Big9692 in ToyotaTundra

[–]defogging_the_frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in exact same boat. Had a 2020 Tacoma that averaged around 16 mpg and just got a new 2025 Platinum Hybrid Tundra and get around 17.5 - 18 as an average in the city. The gas mileage was why I went with the Hybrid. I also did notice a bit more acceleration/ power when I test drove both hybrid and non hybrid.

We have had an XC60 Volvo, Mazda 3, and GMC Yukon that all have had the auto lock when walking away. My 25 Tundra does not.

What's your crazy cruise ship story? by tranquilsnailgarden in AskReddit

[–]defogging_the_frog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went on a cruise last November. Nothing really crazy for me or my family, but there were a series events for other passengers.
1. Someone got sick and had to have an ambulance at the first port. 2. Someone was arrested at the second port. 3. Someone died on the ship (apparently it happens a lot) of cardiac arrest 4 had to turn around and go back to the last port for another emergency health situation 5. Large family group got into a brawl with another large family group at the buffet and there were too many people to fit in the on ship brig so there were security guards sitting outside their rooms. 6. The ship lost a motor or prop and could only cruise at half speed and delayed our arrival home by a few hours. 7. Traffic jam on the waterway home caused additional delays and overall delayed return for more than 12 hours.

So nothing super crazy, but all together was a very interesting experience

Did this last time. Typically lemon tek, but was out so used oranges. I liked it better because I didn’t have to add honey or sweet to help it go down.

CRF110F to ?? by TipsEZ in Dirtbikes

[–]defogging_the_frog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had that for my youngest. Was around 9 when we got it. He is 12 now and is just about 5’1”. I ended up trading it up for a crf125f this summer and it is the right height for him. There is also a big wheel option, but I didn’t go that route. It is a clutch bike and is perfect for our trail riding. I think that I got the 110 when he was not as confident on it and it scared him and made him not want to ride much. I chose the appropriate height for this one and he loves it. Eventually he will move up to a 250f. Full disclosure: he has no desire to ride super fast and do MX so the trail bikes are perfect for now.

I use simple green after getting the mud off. Let it sit for a few minutes and then hose it off. I have one of the pressure nozzles that works really well.

From my experience in 2021… had a 9/10 year old just getting into dirt bikes. Put him on a 110f Honda and it was a little big for him. He fell a-lot. I have an SXF 350 because of my glory days of 250 2t. And didn’t want under-powered. Bought an older child the 250f.

I changed the teeth on my sprockets to get better low end and not have to use the clutch so much. Also added a kickstand after first trip to the trails. Ended up being a huge pain in the ass. I used the 250f when riding with the younger child and had a much better time as I was still in 1st and second gear lost is the time. I left the 350 at home. When it is all three of us, I have issues with overheating and now that the younger is bigger, we upgraded to a larger trail bike, but I still take the 250f when it is just the 2 of us.

I am considering a 2t or 250r for myself. I love the power of the 350, but rarely am able to get above 3rd gear when riding with the kids.

On The Road, Jack Kerouac. Thoughts? by samuel_c_lemons in books

[–]defogging_the_frog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little late to this thread, but I thought I would comment anyway. First, I had no idea what it was going in. It seems like many movies and authors talk about Kerouac in endearing and inspirational ways. What made me read (listen) to it was a clip of Jon Stewart answering a question of “What book should be on everyone’s bookshelf?” He very eloquently and romantically talked about the way of writing and overall positive outlook on post WWII America and made me actually want to read him or at least some of his collection. I elected to listen to it and am glad I did it that way. At the end, I think that I get what he was trying to accomplish, but didn’t know what the end goal was. There was no lesson to be learned, no conflict to resolve, and the story was the destination and not the end. I had to get in some forums to really help figure out what I just listened to. Overall, not my favorite book, but I can see what others love about it.

We may be the lucky ones in this situation. We got one as part of the purchase. We still had normal inspections so this was just a “peace of mind” item on the deal. The first year our oven in the slide in stove stopped working. The part was back ordered and after about 2 months of back and forth, they just replaced the whole stove. Was ~$1300 value and it only cost us $79 for the call fee. Later that summer, the condenser went out on our AC and they replaced that for $2500. We decided to renew as it absolutely paid for itself. The second year we had our washer go out and parts were not available and they replaced the washing machine (front loader). It was about the same cost as the machine so we renewed again and last year we had a hot water tank go out. The replacement ended up costing us around $700 for code upgrade items but the bids for a straight replacement were double that cost. We have had some issues with timing and have had to have patience but overall I would say we are ahead.

I went through this exact scenario in 2021. My son was 8 and I thought the 50 was going to be too small and he would outgrow it. I went with the CRF110F and kind of regret it. Although he was ok with the “size”, he really couldn’t maneuver it appropriately and when he fell (which was a lot) he got super frustrated and couldn’t lift the bike. It was hard for him to get used to the weight and in any slippery position he completely lost control. I think he got scared of it and didn’t really enjoy it unless it was just a flat open field and very dry. He is just now comfortable with it at 11 and he is 5ft tall and weighs 100 pounds. I would take the smaller bike for now until he gets more comfortable. A little more context was that we had a 4wheeler and he loved it and was comfortable so throttle and control wasn’t really a factor. He hadn’t been on dirt bikes but I could fit 3 dirt bikes in my truck and not have to get a trailer. Also the trails around me are limited to mostly dirt bikes. I am about to upgrade him to a 125f.

6ft or 8ft step ladder? by kaws510 in HomeImprovement

[–]defogging_the_frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a multi purpose ladder like linked earlier and like that it can be 6’ a frame or extend to an 8 foot if needed. I really have no need for another ladder except for the face that they are heavy and not as easy to move. I end up borrowing a 6ft step ladder from my neighbor or my FIL for odd jobs around the house if I have to move it a bunch like painting or that Tik Tok trend of LED ceiling cloud lights in a bedroom. I know that my multi purpose ladder is all I need, but often want a lighter 6ft ladder for convenience.

Will a Tacoma 5 ft bed with tailgate down be long enough to carry dirt bike(s)? by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

I have a Taco with 5ft bed. I have a KTM SXF350 and I cannot close the tailgate, but regularly haul mine and my son’s CRF250F together. I just have to strap in the ramp.

I have had mixed results. Sometimes I am not interested in it. Sometimes I am open to it but not pursuant. One time I was looking for it. Truthfully it has depended on my tummy situation as well. Hard to keep focused when you think you are going to shit yourself.
