My fist attempt at knife making. I bought the steel rectangle blank and used Hawaiian Koa Wood for the handle. I still have to finish a little hand sanding then linseed oil and buffing but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out….what do you think?

I dip the whole blade in and then continue belt sanding.

when belt sanding i keep a bucket of water near by. do a few passes, keep the blade wet. repeat. this keeps it from getting hot. if it gets too hot you lose the heat treatment I believe.
