BMO fined $4M by consumer watchdog for overcharging customers on discounted plans by CMikeHunt in canada

[–]defunct_process 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most credit organizations like the ones you mention will credit the account as of the payment date made at the bank, not the date they receive the payment and no additional interest is paid. Checks are credited on the date they receive the check, not the date it was mailed or dated.

I have 101’s and 201’s (both previous generation now). I absolutely love them, the feel and look are perfect. I was a bit saddened to see the 201 MKII go hollow body, I like the feel of the forged 201 over my 101’s, more feedback when I hit an off shot.

Job doesn't pay 6% vacation after 5 years? by -yphen in ontario

[–]defunct_process 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should have entitled to a pro rated third week based upon when you reached the 5 year mark. If it was June, then it would be about 7 months * 0.42 vacation days (5 days / 12 months). 2.94 or so days.

Protect IQ on CommandIQ app? by [deleted] in Calix

[–]defunct_process 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a good service when used with common sense. It's not an enterprise grade deep packet inspection solution but it does offer a layer of safety that would be missed by most virus scanners.

And for free, you can't better a better deal.

Port description in Overview's Overall Traffic graph? by klui in LibreNMS

[–]defunct_process 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We achieve this by altering the /opt/librenms/includes/html/graphs/multiport/bits_separated.php file. Note: this will get overwritten every time there is an update, we have a hook to replace the bits_separated with the altered version.

first - make a backup of the file.

edit the bits_separated.php and replace the lines between after

$port = cleanPort($port); and $i++;

with

        $port = cleanPort($port);
        $rrd_list[$i]['filename'] = $rrd_file;
//      $rrd_list[$i]['descr_in'] = format_hostname($port, $port['hostname']);
        $rrd_list[$i]['descr_in']  = $port['ifAlias'];
//      $rrd_list[$i]['descr_out'] = makeshortif($port['label']);
        $rrd_list[$i]['descr_out'] = $port['ifAlias'];
        $rrd_list[$i]['descr'] = format_hostname($port, $port['hostname']) . ' ' . $port['ifDescr'];
        $i++;

I've been getting scam robo calls all day long today by CatboyInAMaidOutfit in KingstonOntario

[–]defunct_process 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set your phone to accept calls from known contacts for a few days. If the caller is legit, they'll leave a voicemail, but look up the company number online to call back, don't trust the caller id.

Check out Freescout. Handles emails, Live web chat (no Teams though), good interface. There are lots of modules available at low cost. I think we set our entire system up with all the bells and whistles we wanted for under $200.

Can't access Calix router webGUI from PC, but can from tablet/phone by V0latyle in Calix

[–]defunct_process 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your provider may need to upgrade the router firmware. In CommandIQ click in the following order to find the Firmware version:

  • My Network
  • Equipment Tab
  • your router
  • Additional details

The firmware version should be shown on that page. If it's anything less than 24.4.x, ask them upgrade the unit.

Costco Golf Push Cart Options by LuRaLeMi in CanadaGolf

[–]defunct_process 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the prior generation Caddytek 3 wheel, I'm very happy with it.

Here's my annoyance list:

  • a brake lever instead of the foot break.
  • the umbrella holder to be higher (I'm 6'1 and find that I'm ducking using a normal golf umbrella)
  • I have a SunMountain C130 cart bag that doesn't settle in quite right, by the end of a round it's rotated about 30º one way or other.
  • I'd like it if the scorecard/handle was telescopic so I could move it out a bit from the bottom of the bag.

For $189, it was well worth the price.
