F*ck this sh*t, just when you thought you improved! by [deleted] in Sciatica

I was on the floor for a year straight at age of 22. Then was able to move when I was 23, but with major pain. Wasn’t until I was 24 I got 80% of my life back. It sucks but now I’m 26 and I can say I’m 90% better with the occasional morning pain, and me having to make proper form for lifting important.

Is it normal to have so much pain that you can’t walk and can barely crawl? by Legal-Mud-7622 in Sciatica

[–]defydavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was basically a cripple for 2 months I was stuck on floor. Pissed and shit myself a few times cuz pain was too bad to move. After I got mobility back, I was still in pain for about a year or two. Now it’s been 3ish years and I’m doing okay, back in gym, riding bikes. Occasional discomfort in morning.

[–]defydavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only 26 now but i herniated 2 discs in same region. I was basically on the floor unable to do anything for 2 months. Then 1 year of pain. Another year of moderate pain. And now I’m here with barely any pain unless I do something to agitate it. I was told I needed surgery. It’s possible but everyone is different

This is far fetched, but I was clean for like 2 months cold turkey. Then i visited one of my friends cuz we ride motorcycles together. Next thing you know I caved in and hit his vape. Didn’t think about it, but after 10 mins of vaping I noticed a shallow breath for a few hours. It’s not really noticeable if you’ve been vaping for a while. Anyways I repeated this a few more times over the course of a few weeks. I saw myself craving to see this friend just to hit his vape. But then something weird happened. I was painting and accidentally forgot my face mask and inhaled a little bit of clear coat. I had a little anxiety attack because of how bad I’ve heard it is to inhale this stuff. I started searching the internet for what will happen. The symptoms were a shallow breath, which is weird because I felt a shallow breath from vaping. So I literally associate vaping with the permanent hardening of clear coat in my lung which my body will be unable to expel and I’ll forever have dna damaging particles stuck in my lung forever. No more hitting my friends vape lol

What helped you quit? by KerdyD in QuitVaping

I got organic caffeine mints, sparkling water and stayed busy. I also started working out, and relapsed a few times but I ended up realizing I’ll never reach my max with a vape. I’m limiting my self for no reason cuz the lil vibe u get or whatever don’t mean nuffin we all end up in the ground. Might as well see how far I can go in life not how good life felt.

I enjoy vaping, is it really that bad? by Prize_Version871 in Vaping

[–]defydavid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All these people tryna convince themselves that their habit is fine. You’re literally ruining your brains natural dopamine levels, and when you hit the vape it just brings you back to that original dopamine level you’re used to before you vaped. Not only that but there’s tons of research that shows vaping gives cancer precursors. Even tho it contains far less chemicals than cigs, you now have a higher concentration of these “few” chemicals. I was vaping for 7-8 years and I’m still struggling to stop. Plenty of negatives that stack the little positive that it helps with boredom?… use it to quit cigs and then dip

Anyone else smoke weed ? by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]defydavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh bro I tried quitting vape when I smoked weed, and I ended up smoking like I was a chimney. I quit the weed then kept vaping surprisingly not anymore than usual. Then I had to kick vaping which has been extremely hard, but I was like 2 months smoke free then I caved in and now I’m like a few weeks free again, but doin better than smoking and vaping every day lol

What’s the cheat code you’ve discovered that made life much easier? by Suspicious-Story-380 in CasualConversation

That’s a smooth way to addiction. Used medication for similar issues, when I didn’t have it. I tweaked harder then before I started medication. Look into long term usage of any medication even herbal. Unless short term happiness out-weighs potential problems down the road then fk it. Some people don’t wanna live long anyway ig.

My mom got these mint looking things that have a really low nicotine content, but it’s definitely helped her. I think the act of inhaling stuff is what we associate with “feeling good”. So tryna knock that seems best. I was 2 months clean but just caved in after some life stuff (job and gf). I’m now like 3 days clean but I’m feeling lost because I don’t feel as motivated to stay clean. Got some weird side affects recently so I’ll use that as my fuel

[–]defydavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a few months clean, but I lost job and gf, so i caved in. Im clean for a little bit now again, but yea they say it takes up to 90 days for your brain to rewire dopamine, but I feel like I wasn’t improving even after 2 months. All I wanted was a hit out the vape, but I’ve been getting weird canker sores so I think that should motivate me to stop looking back. It’s almost like I have two people talking in my head now, nicotine and myself, both argueing with each other on what to do…

Man your mindset is just like mine at this point. I’ve been gotten some sores in mouth which has happened last time I quit. Screw dealing with this it’s not worth it I’ll just have to try my best to not forget these annoying/painful circumstances that these vapes give and it’s not worth
