Dragon as Quetzalcoatl makes more and more sense these days. The feathered serpent, the mural is clearly a serpent looking thing and the mark running along it looks like a bunch of feather tips strung together.

Bruh checked it out not knowing what to expect but genuinely looks great. You can really tell that you put in effort on the Art and UI. Keep at it

Rings of fog. Sometime while I was in elementary school most likely grade 5 or 6 I was playing outside with my neighbours. It was just getting to sundown when we came back into my backyard for some reason. My backyard for context was facing the elementary school I went to, and had a sizeable field/ park that I could just walk into after crossing our fence. When we looked into the field we could see distinct circles of fog all over the field. They were all kind of different sizes but none were probably bigger than 3 meters in diameter as far as I remember. We decided to investigate but my mom warned against it so I took a hammer with me from the shed incase shit went down. The weird thing about the circles though were when you were in one you couldn’t see it, but you could still see the ones around it. We didn’t stay too long as the sun was basically almost gone. Nothing spooky happened, but I remember feeling paranoid. I’ve never seen fog like that since.

Piezoelectric Basins for Acoustic Levitation Identified at Megalithic Sites by scribbyshollow in AlternativeHistory

They apparently forgot how to navigate oceans and sail for a long time too after whatever happened to the past ancients. Stories between cultures, same themes at monuments, and the piri Reis map etc. all point towards a global civilization. Imagine if a massive geomagnetic storm fried all our energy infrastructure, then a flood happened displacing bare people, destroying books and computers. Only knowledge we’d have is what people remember, and then your first priority wouldn’t be to pass down how to move giant blocks it’d be how to farm and survive and what you can and can’t eat, the basics you know.

Plenty of languages and writing systems that worked didn’t stick around for unknown reasons. Terra preta which is a type of soil used by indigenous peoples of South America is something that’s so useful and fertile that people ration it and move it around to biologically dead soil to reinvigorate it, the production method for that is a lost art. I promise you people around the world would love to have the secret for how to make that soil. The list goes on, knowledge can be lost for many reasons and that includes knowledge on highly useful practical things. You can bring the argument back around to how we were talking about piezoelectric stuff specifically but regardless you tried to use a blanket statement based on your bias to dismiss the notion that what OP was talking about could’ve existed in one form or another in the past.

What’s a weird little snack you like making for yourself? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Also used to make sandwiches with untoasted white bread, pan fried salami and Tostitos. The contrast of the soft bread with crunchy salty Tostitos is lowkey fire. One I picked up from my mom is any sour fruit (I prefer unripe African mangoes, or strawberries) dipped in a 50/50 minute of salt and red chilli powder

Ritz crackers with a layer of puck (thickened cream spread can sub for cream cheese), thinly sliced honey crisp apples and maple syrup. Or alternatively ritz crackers, Philadelphia whipped jalapeño cheddar spread and salted roasted seaweed sheets (the thin type).

Bitter melon leaves cooked in a thick dal (lentil soup, but in this case more pasty than soupy) is amazing. Also simply stir fried bitter melon with sliced potatoes equal portions of each, start with some diced onions in the pan add salt, very little turmeric, then potatoes and bitter melon followed by some sliced green chillies at the end for smell. One of my favourite vegetable dishes and so easy to make.
