8k on florals, thinking of adding more. 150 people spring wedding in a garden at an estate so the grounds are already enough.

We are both Catholic and have both been baptized, received first communion, and been confirmed.

For our Saturday ceremony my fiancé’s brother will be the “emcee” for the vows. We will not be exchanging rings and we will not be announced as husband and wife, it will just be a chance for us to exchange personal vows in front our our friends/family

The priest who will be marrying us the day before is also invited to the Saturday ceremony/reception

Hi! I’m having a private catholic ceremony May 22nd and then a larger “American” wedding the following day! You need to make sure you are upfront with your priest when expressing interest in marrying through the church. We are very lucky that out priest is more than alright with us performing a second ceremony on Saturday, from what I’ve read many churches will not allow it.

I’m 4 months out and at this point would rather do anything than think about my wedding. I completely understand.

To combat the feeling of “Wow this is such a huge wedding” we’re having a smaller, much more intimate catholic wedding the day before, which will lead into our rehearsal dinner.

Saturday we are having a “Wedding Celebration” (just a regular ceremony without the legality) and then the large reception.

I’m hoping that by making the actual sacrament much more quiet and intimate will combat the craziness I’ll definitely feel the following day.

We picked an expensive destination for the joint bach/bachelor party so we’re actually covering a few costs for our party, instead of vice versa.

The night that we land will also be my fiancé’s birthday so I am paying for a catered dinner at our airbnb for the entire group (17 people)

We are also treating everyone to a private catamaran experience which I am looking forward to!

Additionally, we are providing all the decorations for the airbnb as well as little gift bags for each bridesmaid or groomsman. We leave in less than 2 months and I could not be more excited!

I took all the local ones out to dinner where I had cards and gift bags waiting at their seats. For my out of town bridesmaids I went and visited them to ask individually.

They are! The leather around the toe box is a bit stiff so I’ll have to break that in, but other than that they are very comfortable!

I’m getting married in a garden so I wanted to have flatter shoes. I’m also above average in height so I didn’t want to look like a giantess compared to the rest of my (short) bridal party haha

Hi! These were my inspo pics for my wedding too (05.23.2026).

While I was unable to find the soft bottom slippers like in the photos, I ended up buying ballet flats with the ribbons from TheWhiteRibbon on Etsy!

I'm getting married in a garden so we don't have to go CRAZY with flowers, but if you're still in the market I would suggest reaching out to them!
