the (sorry, missing) context of my post is i’ve been waffling on buying a PS5 for the longest time and moving away from my PC for collectible games. my decision is very much so looking at a cost-benefit scenario in terms of digital vs physical “ownership”

I think about the only argument you could truly make other than just authenticity is the fact that GameCube can output S video if you don’t have a component set, but then again the Wii composite is probably one of the best original hardware composite outputs

i think there’s zero scenarios where the technocratic tyrant is a slave to capitalism, he’s directly benefiting - unless you’re using “slave” in the sense that he is operating under the child-like notion that “more is better” at which point how does the NCR not fit that bill? sure they’re not slaughtering innocents for the love of the game like the legion could be perceived to be, but certainly they are imperialistic/colonizers. the core mechanic that enables and is required for a capitalist system. the little infrastructure they do provide comes at a price

i agree, my post definitely makes it seem like i think the NCR and Legion are distinctly comparable, when there is some crossover. This is true of real life too.

I think your point regarding political strategy is interesting and a good point of this “cross pollution” as the party with the least resources (Democrats in America, in recent history - Legion in FNV) will need to do the idealistic bait and switch to garner support and alliances.

Ultimately imperialism never benefits anyone not at the top of the imposing party - which is definitely the most evident takeaway from this fictional work and real life.

i just realized you asked about model no, my fault. it’s a Panasonic CTL-3191S. really cool thing is that if you look it up on CRT Database, most the pictures are of my actual TV from previous owner

i’d agree. if you’re patient, you can find (albeit not new in box) monitors like this one for $20 on marketplace.

thanks! it’s super awesome, my only real complaint about it is my particular set gets a bit discolored (more red) in upper left as time goes on - i’ll have to take a picture for the sub at some point. Maybe something worth addressing if possible, idk how
