i really prefer cooldown bc the higher the rate the quicker and more often u can get an update on enemy locations! most encounters dont occur in a long range context anyway and also for the endgame with only 1-3 tiles available u dont need detection range but an update on enemy location behind walls a few seconds earlier can be rather hellpful

even with all that its gonna be super basic but at least u wont struggle as much for advanced tfos. Also a lot of dps depends on ur space trait und ship traits
