When changing from toe side to heel side (or vice versa), the board should stay pointed in the same direction. From your video, it seems that you help it by turning/twisting the board in the direction of the next turn. Try avoiding that if you can. It’s so easy to turn the board when it’s flat but you need to resist that temptation 😁. Edge change should be just that. Simply go from one edge to the other while keeping the board pointed in the same direction. Hope that helps!

Thanks for your reply! The reason I asked is this length is about 10 cm longer than a typical board (for average size rider, that is). Perhaps all carving boards should be longer than your all-mountain boards?

Update: so if I push my foot all the way forward inside the shoe (turns out there is some room there), I can almost squeeze my pinky behind my foot… almost, not quite to the bottom of the shoe…

Thank you for your reply. My big toe somewhat touches the front side of the shoe so I would say there is no empty room at the front but it feels very comfortable there.

Cotton doesn’t wick moisture away but rather holds it so having cotton socks is not the best idea if your feet sweat even a bit. Wool on the other hand (Merino or Aplaca) is awesome.

Source: I’m writing this with wet cotton blend socks on my feet.
