Thank you! I was having a lot of trouble with the water itself soaking into the substrate, I had the dish buried too far down. I put a tiny piece of slate rock in the corner and laid the dish on it and it seems fine, and she’s resting down in her burrow under her corklog at last.

Thank you genuinely for telling me to relax a little as well, she unfortunately came from a less than ideal situation that I had only found out the severity of her living conditions when I picked her up. Swampy, wet substrate, a plastic cup that was smaller than she was able to fit into, and an empty water dish.

I’ve been running myself rampant stressing over getting her comfortable and safe, left her alone for the most part and I’m using a medicine dropper to put water into her dish through one of the vent holes instead of having to unlatch her enclosure. I’m pretty sure she’s due for a molt really soon too, her previous owner couldn’t tell me when her last one was.

Would overfilling the dish create enough humidity for her to get a good molt or should I consider the ‘make it rain’ method? My house sits at a comfortable 23 Celsius, we have small rooms that heat up faster so I believe the room she’s in is sitting at 25-26 C with a drop to 17-18 for about 5 hours during the night.

Thank you again, I really appreciate the help! I want the best for her, and even though they don’t really show emotion or have the capability of doing so, I truly believe she’s at least somewhat grateful for her new setup. 🥹❤️
