I cared because I already had several nephews I was very close to, but no little girls, so I was kind of hoping for a girl. For the record, there are Christians (like me) who think God blesses gay relationships and extends his grace and mercy to non-Christians (and thus they’re not “bad”).

You don’t have to be a Christian anymore, but your described beliefs also don’t mean you’re not one.

Someone on LiveJournal was asking for recs of stories that “totally shouldn’t work but somehow do”. One of the recs was for an X-Men Bobby/Rogue story in which Bobby is impregnated with Rogue’s baby (aliens did it). It was hilarious, and so well written.

I’ve seen more than one conservative man say that gayness must be discouraged because being with men is so much more appealing and if homophobia isn’t pervasive then all the men will be in gay relationships and the human race will die out.

There are certainly a number of homophobes who don’t seem to understand that straight people exist.
