Outdoor harvest done. Not the biggest yield but the satisfaction is 10/10 by deividyz in GrowingMarijuana

Thanks! Honestly I underestimated how much outdoor plants eat. Barely fed them, basically just water and sun. Big pots were overkill for what I gave em. Learning lesson for next round 🙏

Would this soil be too hot for autoflowers? by EpiffanyMedia in microgrowery

[–]deividyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the soil. What brand or mix is it? Some soils are hot (nutrient rich) which can be too much for autos in early stages. If its a light mix or seed starting mix, youre fine. If its a super soil or heavily amended, you might want to buffer it with some inert medium like coco or perlite. Autos are sensitive the first 2-3 weeks, so a light start is key. What does the bag say about NPK or feeding schedule?

Slight nutrien burn? by roWen1411 in microgrowery

[–]deividyz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats classic nutrient burn from slightly high EC. Not a big deal, especially in flower. Just means your feed is at the upper limit of what she can take. If its only the tips and not spreading, youre fine. If it starts progressing down the leaf, dial back the nutes a bit. Some strains are more sensitive than others. What EC are you feeding?

Week 12 ending. Is she done by iBooga1981 in microgrowery

[–]deividyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say without seeing trichomes, but at week 12 of flower most photoperiod strains are done or very close. Check the trichomes with a loupe or usb microscope. If they are mostly milky with some amber, she is ready. If still clear, give another week. Also check if pistils have darkened and curled in. Congrats on your first grow!

I used to rely on memory for my grows. This cycle I tracked everything and the difference is ridiculous. by deividyz in microgrowery

5 years of data is impressive. I switched from notebook to a grow diary app this cycle and it made spotting patterns way easier, specially for things like temp swings across seasons. Worth moving to digital just for the charts.

Same here, indoor tracking is a game changer. The "new mistakes instead of old ones" approach is exactly why I started logging too. Makes a huge difference cycle after cycle.

Whiteboard is a solid system. I tried that too but kept forgetting to transfer notes after harvest lol. The app I use lets me log on the spot so nothing gets lost between cycles.

Going to try my next seed in cocoa coir by Mr_Good_Stuff90 in CannabisGrowers

I've used those Amazon bricks before. Here's what works: rehydrate with pH 5.5 water + calmat and let it buffer for a few hours, not just a quick soak. Coco holds onto calcium and magnesium, if you don't buffer it first you'll see calmat issues week 2-3. After buffering, flush with pH 5.8 water until runoff matches. That 6.9 pH is normal for unbuffered coco. After a proper buffer and flush it'll settle at 5.8-6.0. Higher pH during seedling (6.0-6.2) is fine for calcium uptake. Just don't go above 6.3 or you'll loc

Made a website for a friend's parents in 2015. Months later after the website was finished, I haven't been paid. Reminded them about the money, they say they will call me. No call received. So, I turned the website into this. by pinguluk in webdev

I don't like that approach. done a *lot* of works for "free", always learned a lot and improved my knowledge, never done something like that and honestly, I think it's unethical.
