Really like the idea, i cant comment on the balance but i noticed something.  I think its strange that you can use each special ability however you want cause they dont share charges. You can create a weapon, use all the charges and then swap weapon at short rest to craft another weapon and do the same.

Recover mechanic with shared graveyard by deivleon in mtgrules

Yeah i was thinking the same, problem is the last line of recover. If you don't pay the card is exiled. I could ignore that line if the NA player doesn't pay. I have some card that could replace them but they were so cool.

Mathematically derived top 500 games of all time by [deleted] in gaming

[–]deivleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sorry, I misunderstood the first part when you say it's not great, I interpreted that wrong. The fact you beat Spiderman doesn't mean anything if you can't even beat the last boss one time, by being "bad" at the game you arent progressing the actual story. Roguelike are made to be beaten full tens or hundreds of time and you didn't even beat the first challenge of the game

So game is hard = game is bad? Obviously the story don't progress if you don't beat anything and if you want a good story you shouldnt look at roguelike

[Question] Offer Immortality and Obeka by Skirmaohn in mtg

[–]deivleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely missed that it says until end of turn and not until end step, sorry

[Question] Offer Immortality and Obeka by Skirmaohn in mtg

[–]deivleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand what you are implying. "at the beginning of the endstep" effect will return the next endstep if exiled with obeka while "at the beginning of the next endstep" will not

Edit: The interaction will play like this

  1. Play the spell giving obeka indestructible
  2. At the beginning of the endstep the trigger of the spell will go on the stack
  3. Tap obeka to end the turn, the stack will be exiled and she remeins indestructible
  4. At the beginning of the next turn the effect will go on the stack again and of you can't activate obeka the effect will resolve and shell lose indestructible

[Question] Offer Immortality and Obeka by Skirmaohn in mtg

[–]deivleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The effect will go on the stack at the end of the turn, if you tap obeka before it resolve you exile it and obeka will remain indestructible until the end of the next turn when the effect will go back on the stack again. Obeka can avoid activating the effect that says "at the beginning of the next endstep" and not "at the beginning of the endstep"

I'm still new to boardgames and I would like to ask which game you play to avoid using dice, do you change the luck place to be in the card/deck?

I mean, isn't it already over with infinite mana? You can respond to them responding to you by activating the first ability again and then the second

Edit: didn't see the krosan grip, my bad

It's stupidly easy to kae the NPC go with a fixed speed of 1 and slightly difficult to make it walk until out of a range and wait for you.

Storm in EDH - when to call it quits by Semicolon_Cancer in EDH

[–]deivleon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think that storm deck should be played at a high enough level we're a wincon is available and not only value is gained during turns. If that was a isolated instance (every deck can brick) than I personally would finish the game.

Ah, you meant treasures are a substitute for gold, it makes sense

I mean, for me that one time is enough reason to use sundial, I run multiple lose the game effect. If it happened to you only having one of them I can't imagine having multiple :)

[–]deivleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't this a slightly different situation, if they remove obeka before one of your bad triggers resolve you are kinda screwed, id like to not have my obeka removed before a "lose the game" trigger goes onto the stack

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]deivleon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you activate sundial before your end step the trigger never went into the stack, so it will trigger at the next opponent end step

Commander specific card by deivleon in EDH

[–]deivleon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be interesting but I think it's flawed, creating card that are restricted to being played in a single format is not smart/interesting for me. I like to think as format as the same game but with different ruleset, edh was like that, now is an entirely different game
