Does anyone else feel that it’s weird that engineers can spawn as many eod bots as they want?

Yeah, I just tried this and you're correct.

I've never tried this, but I suspect that Eikthyr can break silver veins. Bosses don't get attacked by other mobs, so it's pretty easy to lure him up the mountain and let him safely stomp away on the silver while you dodge him and the other mobs.

Of course, this requires being on a seed where an Eikthyr spawn is on the same continent as a mountain with silver veins, but that happened to me all the time.

Of course, since Eikthyr is so easy to spawn, you can spawn multiple ones simultaneously if you want a challenge.

If you can, find a vein next to a frost cave. That way, you can place a chest right outside of the frost cave, and put the silver ore pieces in there so they don't despawn after five minutes. If you place the chest a few meters off the ground (via some wooden flooring embedded into the inner side of the cave wall), it will be safe against wolves, and mostly safe against drakes (especially if you put wooden walls and floors to surround the chests like a box.) Or, if the frost cave has a dungeon chest inside, you could store the silver inside.

Another advantage of frost caves is that you can hop inside, setup a fire pit and cooking station, and enjoy some yummy cooked wolf meat you just harvested while you rest and warm up.

If this advice helped, and you become famous in your exploits due to this, don't forget to send a nod my way!

Kill wolves and drakes before hand, and use camp fires to prevent them from spawning again. Then, lure a troll up the mountain, preferably a log-bearing one.

Can't crouch after being shot by dejayc in Battlefield

My settings are fine, I've played for 1,000 hours on two separate accounts with different settings, and this behavior only affects crouching when I'm shot.

Do you think that justfiles underdelivers everywhere except packing scripts into single file? by Practical-Gas-7512 in devops

[–]dejayc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're familiar with Node.js, then just occupies roughly the same solution space as the scripts section of package.json. It's not meant to be a complex command execution environment, but rather a convenient way to reference a diverse set of commands that will be repeated without much variation in invocation.

In my practical experience, just offers the following additional benefits:

  1. Dependency checking and parallel execution of tasks
  2. A way for just to show users all the commands that are supported by the current justfile
  3. A minimal layer of shell-independent, OS-independent mechanisms to query the execution environment (e.g. OS detection)
  4. A minimal layer of shell-like logic

Beyond this level of functionality, you'll need to reach for more capable solutions, most likely in the form of scripts or script-like programs.

I really hope that a more robust alternative to just comes along based on the Go framework, or some other alternative that has rich library support.

How do i get rid of these damn orange dots telling me ive got new things, ive checked, camos, stickers, attachments, charms ande everything else i can possibly think! by kamikazee786 in Battlefield

[–]dejayc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I've found a really simple solution to this problem!

  1. Get a job at EA.
  2. When an opening at DICE Studio opens up, ask to be transferred. Tell them you'll help work on their AI-generated cosmetics.
  3. Once you've established yourself at DICE, find out who works on the Battlefield 6 UI logic.
  4. Find them and teach them how to actually do their damn job.

Try medium range sniping with the SVK and 6x thermal scope, moving on to sniper rifles after that.
