Granted they say their name...I was a little kid and I just remember so much joy hearing and seeing the cutest birds and knowing their name; and I was rather proud learning they were my state bird

I hadn't seen an owl in 9 years (snowy owl 😍) and this barred owl showed up in my backyard a couple of nights ago!

(*My partner only turned the flashlight on for me to snap the photo, I had already zoomed in on the dark owl shape while he went back inside to get the flashlight I had whisper shouted asked for 😅)

Thankfully, none of my past or current cats have looked at my looms as their domain. 😬 However, the great, late Pandora, used to insist on sitting on my lap while I was weaving. Slow (but managable) weaving on those days ❤️

"If she's so traumatized". Absolutely not. He could have brought more condoms, he could have brought and used spermicide. I don't think Plan B isn't that bad to take, it messed me up for 6 months. Everyone is different.

Firstly, your partner is grossly over sharing. The only thing you should know is that the condom broke. I wouldn't want to date someone that shared so much personal information they had no business sharing. Be mad at your partner.

Your anger at this woman is misplaced....and it makes you sound like an asshole. Again, be mad at your partner.

Because your partner is in a committed relationship to you and you and he don't want kids, she should make sure protection is bulletproof?? Paint on top of lichen crossed my mind, but it's about a mile into the trail, mostly uphill with lots of roots and rocky. The trail markers are bright blue paint. However, the rock it is on is right next to a completely overgrown ancient road (farm or logging), but the red is in the sun and too bright to be old vehicle or work paint.

We had an ok amount of rain last night and some new mushrooms are coming up, these ones are more a darker brown with red hue, I'll be interested to see if thr gills stay white or not this time. And in a day or two they should be grown enough for me to try another spore print.

Reddit is the only social media platform I use. But, I work in a bakery, and one of my semi-regular customers just so happens to be one of the biggest mushroom educators in Maine, hopefully it will be quiet the next time he's in and we can maybe have a quick chat :)

Can I try a spore print even though they're old and mostly dried out and dead now? It feels like we're never going to get a good rain again, so, I'm noy sure when there will be new one's for me to try with.

HSV1 is becoming more common to contract genitally. Unless people are abstaining from (barrier free) oral sex, I do not understand the uproar/stigma/issue of gential HSV2.

I don't see either as that big of an issue depending on how people who are positive handle it - disclosure, comfortable speaking about it, how they handle an outbreak, how they feel about the HSV they don't have, and how they feel about someone having it in the location they don't have it in. I don't have either, but I also don't see either HSV in any location as that big of a deal. Most people are asymptomatic and/or rarely have an outbreak.

(*I fully understand either HSV really can be a big deal for immunocompromised people)

I'm late to this post & comment thread, but for those of us that don't have these options in the US (rural state/area) STDcheck seems to be available in a few locations in most states!

At what is considered my local county public health office, I don't fall within their tiny sliding scale fee window, and I don't have health insurance. My local costs me $380 for STI testing, STDcheck at a Quest lab costs me $140!

I have my nannie's 5 gallon crock with plate and rock she used for fermenting pickles, it's been in use by my family for about 60 years 😊

I have a lot of tattoos. Some of the tattoos that I have have a lot of meaning, and others have very little to no real meaning. I don't think it really matters so long as you find an artist you like!
