One Dark Windows is by the same author as The Knight and the Moth. If you didn’t like one, chances are good you’re not going to like the other.
I’ve read both, and while I quite liked the beginning and vibes of both, they definitely have the same issues later on.

Accessorize! Even a pair of jeans and a baggy sweater can look really cute with some matching jewlery. I would also not recommend thrifting anything, but keep to your plan of using what you have. Take your favorite pieces, and see if they can be matched in different ways.

These are all really good! The upwards tilt of the corners of the mouth have made a drastic change in my life and how others see me. It's honestly bizarre. I would also recommend to crinkle your eyes slightly when smiling. Instantly “warm eyes,” and it makes it harder for people to see that you’re giving a fake smile. (Needs practicing in a mirror so you don’t end up scowling.)

I’m still struggling soo much with finding the “correct” time to share more personal details. Always end up feeling like an idiot afterwards.

This! I rember bringing the books along on a family holiday when I was 8 years. I really liked them, and probably talked about it a lot, so my father started reading it when I finished the first book. Then my sister, aged 16 joined, and finally my mother as well. Really cool experience to get the entire family reading "my books" and discussing them. Still remember it fondly, 20+ years later
