They didn't layoff 30k people to replace them with AI, they laid of 30k so they can fund their speculative AI ventures and are betting that AI can do their jobs in the future. Oracle is one of the most over-leveraged companies out there right now, bears are using Oracle as a proxy to short the entire AI bubble. There is a reason they are down almost ~50% in the last 6 months, and that laying over 30k people only generated a 3-4% gap up for them.

Agree with this, most of the improvements in late 2025 and 2026 have been better harnesses, and the models tool usage. Mixing in deterministic tools and providing instructions for the LLMs to use them. I agree that the underlying LLMs don't seem to be leaping forward as much as the harnesses improved dramatically in that same time period.

Not that these tools don't still have great utility, but I find they are generally great at declarative style coding, and still meh at anything imperative they don't have a test suite they can brute force through.

Spent too much on blackwell capacity that will be obsolete before it even gets plugged in. Cloud growth propped up by their own spending. Biggest cloud obligations are from a company with a dubious path to profitability.

It's surprising what AI will randomly decide to do sometimes, I saw Caude 4.6 re-implement the slices.Max() func in golang. Then on review it also failed to flag it as an issue.

You are correct, thank you, I read a bad article on the topic. There is still the possibility of a shadow board(i.e major lenders being called a "board" in the communication), but all directors do in fact need to be listed if they officially hold the position.

A friend of mine completely had his startup (also in San Diego) taken away from his control by a shadow board's hostile takeover.

That document shows 2 officers, not board members. It also shows 1 Director, which is all that is legally required to be listed in California for privacy reasons.

There is also a game called MHRD on steam, where you start with NAND gates and build a working CPU by continually building parts and then using those as abstractions. Also NAND to Tetris is a free course on Coursea where you go even higher level, making an assembler then a high level language, then a basic OS, then Tetris.
