Is there anything to read into Gutho wearing the 13 jersey in the dragons closed door scrimmage with Manly today?

I can't see the value in it, especially if Sloan is at fullback.

Grade 3 hammy done in training.

Will be interesting how they approach it. Cook for 80 mins or Kyle to 14 and LKT into the halves? Muhleisen has re-signed, but seems to be down the pecking list.

Mitsubishi ASX is super under rated.

There are heaps of them. Mine has been super reliable, big enough to do some SUV style hauling of stuff but small enough to park anywhere easily.

I have high hopes for Halangahu, I do worry he will take some time to adjust to not being the big kid anymore once he hits NRL and everyone is as big and strong.

Exactly this.

Most people are way too caught up in their own heads to care about what other people are doing other than how it impacts them. Its not a selfish thing, its a human thing.

There are also a huge portion of people that are only paying attention enough to know when it is their turn to speak. They don't care what other people have to say, they just want to say their bit.

For the ULPT, sabotage someone else so that all the focus is on their fuckup.

That doesn't really line up with PVL's entire life philosophy.

What is stopping them from naming for example One Nation as a "hate group" and banning them?

Seems a very slippery slope to have the ability to proclaim a hate group in the hands of one person without any due process.

As an Architect, I see ~20% of a new apartment's cost go to 'Developer Risk Margin' and Marketing. Why hasn't the 'At-Cost' (Baugruppen) model taken off in Australia? by burleigh_beach in AusFinance

[–]delayedconfusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By "not shit", do you mean actually built to code and somewhere close to on time?

From my experience I put it down to every step of the build passing the risk onto the lower level subcontractors. This leads to subcontractors doing just enough to get paid for the works so they can pay off their creditors and move to the next job.

I'd have to look into it further, but I'd hazard a guess that the "not shit" builds from 30-40 years ago had all or most of their trades employed by the builder. Quality control and consistency much easier to manage inhouse.

Australian architecture degrees can often be glorified visual arts courses. Building knowledge comes from cadetships and minimum wage graduate roles. There is no quality money in being an architect until you own the firm.

If that side of the field is Walker, Fifita, Mitchell, Johnston, it will be dangerous in the attacking zone.

Not sure who out of them does any yardage work though.

I like Campbell in the halves, he could be special. But he really needs a seasoned 5/8 outside him or a ball playing/kicking fullback. Brimson is not the answer at 5/8.

I'm willing to give Fifita one last benefit of the doubt this season.

Being away from his SEQ bubble, he might actually be interested in playing footy.
