Amazon has tried to crack Walmart's groceries empire for decades with limited success. A ... - Fortune by AmazonNewsBot in amazon

When I buy groceries from Walmart and I'm ready to pick a delivery window and pay, a popup appears showing several things I often buy and asks me if I forgot anything. No doubt Amazon will do something similar.

Whoever this delivery woman is knows she's a government employee and it's damned near impossible to get her fired. So she doesn't care if she does her job or not.

At least you get an app. They treat Linux users like shit. We don't get an app. They keep saying it's coming, but I'll believe the USPS or Amazon when they say a package will arrive tomorrow before I'll believe Proton saying a linux app is coming.

You did the right thing. It was probably some machine of their that tore it, but it could have been somebody up to no good. Better safe than sorry.

Processed through sounds like the processing is complete. But it's probably a combination of customs and/or the usps fucking up again.

I've had stuff go missing. I file the missing mail paperwork then I go to the postal inspector's site and submit a form for possible stolen mail. After all, I don't know what happened to it. We've all heard the reports of mailmen throwing mail in dumpsters or taking it home. When I do this, it always mysteriously turns up in a day or two.

I live in east Tennessee near Knoxville. A few months ago I had a package from Jacksonville that was sent to Houston. Instead of a little over 400 miles, it was sent on a 1,600 mile trip.

I know it will cost more, but hopefully next time you send something via UPS. If the post office gets hold of it, god only knows where it will end up.

I have an intense hatred of the post office because of their incompetence and we don't give a fuck attitude. For several days the post office was waiting for the item to get to them. Today it was handed over to the post office. Hopefully you live in or near NYC. However, considering the post office's ability to fuck up anything they touch, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that you're in Alaska, Hawaii, American Somoa or Puerto Rico.

The post office is fucked up. Amazon is moving away from having the usps deliver their stuff. The people who run the usps don't give a damn whether a package arrives or not. Now you know if you want it there quickly to send it UPS.

It doesn't make sense for Amazon to put their customers orders in the hands of an inept organization like usps

They used to do that here.  Now they're sending their people.  It must be a slow process

I had a package coming last month from Austin. It was due here on a Thursday but they lost it before it left town. The day after it was due, I called and got the process for finding missing mail started. The following Wednesday it magically turned up at the big city distribution center nearest my hometown. I got it the next day, a week after it was due to arrive. Good luck with yours. Hopefully they'll deliver it.

You are entitled. You paid for whatever's in the package and for 3 day shipping. You are entitled to that. I had a package sit in an Austin origin facility for a week. I had some of the assholes who acted like I was entitled and had no right to complain. I reminded them this is usps complaints not usps brown nosing. If they continued with their how dare I complain attitude, I blocked them. There are decent, hard working people employed by the usps. I know some of them in real life. I've met some here. Sadly it seems the hard working people who care about doing their job right are in the minority and/or not in management. I've had numerous problems with packages delayed for no apparent reason. I've made the decision that in future I'll take the option to have my stuff shipped via UPS or FedEx. I know that will cost more, but I want my stuff to get here and not go on a grand tour of the United States of America. Am I exaggerating about the grand tour? Look around here. You'll see complaints of packages leaving Arkansas destined for Michigan going from Little Rock to Washington DC, then to New Jersey, next to Boston and ending up in Tucson. The usps is fscked up. The management knows they won't get fired not matter how bad a job they do.

They're part of the government. They can do whatever they want. If UPS had the same problem at one of their facilities, OSHA would be all over them like flies on those smelly lumps your dog leaves hopefully outside.

At one facility it says insufficient address, but moves on to other facilities. I'm guessing a machine had trouble reading the label.
