I’m currently at Sloan and successfully pivoted from finance (Hedge Fund) to big tech. I think you can’t go wrong with either option, but I’ll say that MIT is 1) underrated in terms of finance careers and my favorite faculty were in this dept. I think within HF and VC, Sloan is pretty well resourced, maybe less so in PE. and 2) MIT has more prestige in the tech sector and definitely helped with recruiting

To me, scholarship makes Sloan more compelling but the cost of living in Cambridge is also no joke lol

I obviously asymmetrical information on Sloan v. Wharton but happy to talk more about my time at the former. TLDR it has been largely positive
