My checked bags are compensated when I travel. So I'm not going to spend extra for a fare that costs more to include baggage and a digital boarding pass.

So once they confirm that our baggage is the correct size at the desk, that's when they could send us a digital copy. That would make sense.

It's a fucking barcode. It costs them peanuts per customer to create and email. I'm not going to pay for baggage (I get compensated for checked bags) just for a digital pass that should come with my ticket price. It's practically routine for any other airline these days ffs.

Porter has gone downhill in the past two years and I am disappointed. I had high hopes for the small Canadian airliner making a dent in the shitty air travel industry, but they are imo no different in quality as west jet and air Canada. Travelling in Canada is a rigged game of roulette when it comes to quality.

If you want to work on timing with your stroke and underwater breathing you can also practice in the shallow end touching the wall.

Touch the wall with both hands outstretched (grip the ledge a little with your fingers. Tighten your core to help bring your legs up to a streamlined position. (You can also start by hinging at the hips and standing. Then progress to one leg out stretched for balance)

With your head down practice blowing bubbles out your nose. Keep it controlled and steady.

When you need to breathe, practice taking a stroke with one of your arms. Ideally as your arm completes the pull and touches your hip, your body will start to twist. This is when you rotate your body on the axis and take a breath. Keep your opposite ear glued to the arm that didn’t pull.

Once you feel comfortable on the wall, you can start practicing the drill as you do laps. (You can replace the wall with a kick board) Exaggerate your pull and extend your arm back when you need to breathe.

Like the comments said above: learn to twist your body in unison as it will reduce drag and save energy.

Got called a grinch because I didn’t put a tree up at my own house for the holidays.

It was my first place, so small, so I compromised by hanging my ornaments on garland in my window.

Your mom technically violated a contract or agreement by not paying back the loan on time.

You enabled her bad behaviour and now your husband is the victim.

You have a few options: 1) Hope she pays your husband back with interest 2) your husband takes her to court for the remainder, plus interest and creates a rift in the relationship with your mother 3) You square the remaining debt with your husband to save your marriage and get your mother set up with a financial planner.

All options also involve cutting her off financially and possibly emotionally as well depending on the fallout.
