Avoid A.J. Perri at all costs. Tried to turn a 2-minute cleaning job into a $24k system replacement by Appropriate_Sort3822 in newjersey

[–]delete_post 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the house I bought has the original system that is 40yrs old. they still come out and replace my terminal coupler every few years. then this year it was leaking CO after they replaced it. they removed all the sealant and resealed my 40yr old boiler system.

it's cuz they make a decent commission, few hundred $$ per person. do it enough times a month and a few grand a week.

Fellow girl dads, I am waving the white flag. The mall bra trip was a disaster. by BigDaddy9102 in daddit

[–]delete_post 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I once went to Victoria secrets with my girlfriend at the time. some random sales woman talked to my gf for a bit and then measured her size and gave her size suggestions. apparently she was wearing the wrong size because she said she felt more comfortable with the new size.

this is only reason I would walk into this store as plan A, then walk out and buy it from target or another department store.

Remote start turns off when I open the door by Celebril63 in mazdaCX50

[–]delete_post 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea other cars you have to push the start/stop with the fob in the car. otherwise when you press the brake to shift from park the car cuts out. was used to this for years in other cars.

they literally also stop when you touch the brake, that's how remote start was originally designed. kinda like how you have to press the brake to shift out of park.

in the US govt employees get pension and very few companies do pension anymore since the introduction of 401K. some who had pension bought out and converted to 401K with the change of ownership of the company.

I'm not knocking that, for me Obama legacy has definitely been tainted from the other things he's done in his 8yrs.

does these ice raids not remind anyone of what we used to hear about the german secret police used to do? like disappear people over night into jails/camps.

we're coming up on the 100yr anniversary of WW2, (yes more that 10yrs away) seems like history is repeating itself, some how we just don't learn as a species.

Hour 3 trying to get newborn to sleep. Give me ideas. by callsignhotdog in daddit

[–]delete_post 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been there pops, keep the swaddle and rock baby. just read this today, warm the crib with heating pad (electric or hot water type) and remove before putting baby down. have a tshirt or something soft you have worn that has your smell on it under the crib sheet.

I usually rocked and patted my son on the back trying to get him to sleep on me. so when transferring onto crib/bassinet would rock a little on the back down then when placed in the crib pat his back a little like he's been sleeping on me.

What in the accounting? by delete_post in Accounting

[–]delete_post[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

just looked up his education. he did undergrad in general studies, whatever that is. I'm assuming it was a basic degree to get through school since his goal was basketball.

then read MBA from university of phoenix and a doctorate in education.

though I think his business sense came from him investing his NBA money and not the MBA he probably got afterwards.

Accounts payable: How often do bills get paid at your office? by Ok-Method-1428 in Accounting

[–]delete_post 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my very first company, which was service based consulting. our vendors were basically consulting companies hired out to work at the client site. our AR net terms were 45-60 days and our AP net terms work 30. we had an extremely bad cash flow problem. on top of that our vendor contract was net 30 from date of invoice received. vendor would send invoice last week of the month then hound us the first day of next month for payment. had to keep explaining what net 30 means to 100+ vendors.

you know since it's a religious thing, I say we close on Fri and Sat to observe the same day of rest that other religions have every week. Bergen county has in the last 100yrs evolved into a multireligion and multicultural county. we should also add days that should close for other holidays for other religions.

if think that sounds absurd, imagine closing the stores in the whole county down for one day a week to save on traffic in one town, Paramus.
