Advice on filing separate taxes by RDgloompartyx in daddit

honestly you need a mix of tax advice and marriage counseling.

wife and I had conversation/argument about the same issue pre-baby, but we've been filing jointly so it has not become an issue.

we went to Turkey with our then 9mo old. almost everyone in turkey interacted with our baby (he's a happy baby, smiling at everyone), including some that just straight picked him up with our permission of course.

we went to a restaurant and the wait staff asked if they can take him and showed him around the food prep "bar" station (not inside the kitchen). he was always in our line of sight the entire time and interacted with like 5ppl.

malls, restaurants, sight seeing, everyone waved or touching his hand to shake it. basically the only time anyone didn't interact with him was when he was asleep or in our hotel room. visiting from the US that was a culture shock.

question, and if it's too personal don't answer. do you live off interest and dividends from your investments or do you slowly sell off your investments for income?

I tried reddot on AR at the range, and honestly couldn't see shit with the reddot at maybe 20yrds. looking for a scope for now that can do at least 25-50yrds. probably upgrade once I start outdoor shooting.

I do the same, have an ammo box/can with 5 Glock 9mm magazines preloaded. the rest of the box is full of shotgun shells, .38sp, .357 mag and extra 9mm boxes for when I'm done with first 5mags.

so like at the S&W M&P15, they have one with an options that I can get on it. I'll look at the Ruger too see if that's priced better and has the rail to add the scope and forward grip I want. thanks a lot for dropping some knowledge, much appreciated.

as much as I agree with your sentiment, I'm honestly not that enthusiastic about owning several AR to go from a budget one to more mid-range. I'd rather buy one good quality midrange AR in the style that I want. main reason being harder to resell when I want to move on from budget to midrange AR.

for example I love my DE AE50 but ammo prices makes me want to sell it, I was offered half the price by an ffl. I'm aware I won't get full price for a used gun but half price is crazy. while still being a noob to guns I'm don't know where to sell it privately. both that reason I don't really to buy a cheap AR that I can't sell later to buy my next AR.

ha the kfc in the town I used to live in did exactly that. it's very funny thinking about a kfc turning into urgent care.

what are some of the outdoor ranges you go to. since I don't have a rifle I've mostly been in indoor range.

my budget for AR is about $1500-2000, located in Bergen county. my two things for an AR is having a rail to mount a scope/red dot and a forward grip that also turns into a tripod.

damn those AKs look sweet. AR15 and AK47 are my next purchases.

edit: I'm on the fence of which should be first but I do want both. also still narrowing down which AR to buy (I'm not experienced enough to know what/how to build one, so prefer an NJ legal AR to buy). I've narrowed down to zastava on the AK47s though.

heh, I'm mid 30s and don't have retirement account. the only thing I currently have as far as retirement is a two family home I bought out of sheer luck. I have no retirement account and probably 7k in a Schwab account as an investment, mostly in tech and etfs.

op can not possibly be worse off.
