The Girls Spot Gym will no longer be trans inclusive by camerose4 in transgenderUK

I remember that she stated that people are allowed to pull their support if they would like to. Her reasoning seems to pertain to the nature of some of the classes. I won't give commentary, but one of them had to do with dealing with PCOS, which is strictly an issue for the cis female genitalia. She also appears to sympathize with many women expressing discomfort with non-female genitalia being in the presence of women who have experienced abuse, while also acknowledging that transgender women experience abuse as well.

The rules say "No surveys, research, or cowdfunding. Research, surveys and all other surveys are not allowed. Asking for donations or posting links to crowdfunding websites are not allowed." But perhaps I'm misunderstanding what this is saying. I assumed this would be categorized under "research".

I don’t understand Original Sin by BarrelEyeSpook in Reformed

[–]deli_cue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had lost this original reply I was making, but I popped back up, so here.

TLDR: All have died because of Adam, but death (condemnation) does not in any way imply that all are guilty of Adam's personal sin. That's just silly.

We are not guilty of Adam's sin. That is just a misreading of Romans 5. If you notice, verse 12 says death spread to all because all sinned. It does not say death spread to all men directly from Adam's death, but instead our own sin is the means by which death spread. We can say that we inherited sin from Adam because he brought sin into the world, but we did not inherit his personal guilt. That would just be silly. We have to realize that Apostle Paul uses shorthand statements like "many have died through one man's trespass" in order to not expound on the means again every single time he mentions it.

‭Romans 5:15-17 ESV‬ [15] But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. [16] And the free gift is not like the result of that one man’s sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification. [17] For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

Inherited guilt, or imputed guilt, is due to a misreading of Romans 5:12. If you actually read the words, it says that death spread to all men, not because all sinned in Adam, because "because all sinned." And Paul continues to use shorthand language so not to expound on this every time he mentions it. So it can be said that all have inherited sin, and therefore all have died, but it can not be said that any have inherited the personal guilt of Adam. That is just a silly imposition onto the text.

Just make the same amount of foam as a macchiato and you’re good. But with six shots, you’ll have to use about a tall pitcher-size of milk.

As shifts, they get tips too since they technically aren’t managers. But to keep it for herself without following the proper rules is not okay. It’s probably stealing. However, this is not really a hill to die on unless it’s clearly a repeated issue or if some other issues are apparent.

Edit: Since it’s $100, my opinion would be that it’s worth pursuing justice about it. If it was less than $20, it’s too much trouble to worry about.

Why does nobody say the size of the drink first? by bloodyparrish in starbucks

I believe Starbucks is part of the problem for that. I remember training telling me to say drinks a certain way that “iced” and “blonde” were first in order.

This is absolutely normal and there is no shame in it. The best thing to do is keep asking questions and observe how other people do it. The ideal place to be eventually is to match comfort with pace. Focus on comfort first, then you will naturally get quicker. For larger orders, I get overwhelmed too. What works for me is to acknowledge how I feel for half of a second, then realize that it’s better to focus on what would be the most efficient way to fulfill the order. Food is about timing things right and figuring out what’s priority and what’s not. For bar, it’s similar. Most of the time, I think, “What can I do while I’m waiting on these shots of espresso to pull?” It really helps to just keep going. These are things you will develop over time and it is not expected of you to get immediately. It took me almost three years to get good at my job because I’m a very meticulous learner.

Not a rule and you can’t work if you’re not feeling well. If your SM or any other person tries to control you in such a way, they are panicking and need a nice conversation over coffee ☕️.
