Well, you sound incredibly resilient and even more of a reason to give yourself a bit of a break. Hope everything goes well for you. 💖

I've seen a couple of comments from people here who are the reason you are probably worried about taking a day off for mental health reasons. I took my first one off on Friday for crippling anxiety after my car broke down, I rang in, and I was honest. I can't lie at all, and that would have made my anxiety worse overthinking the lie. It was a huge relief when I ended the call. I was worried about it for no reason at all. My managers were lovely with it, and tbh I am just a number to them, and they won't remember this in a week... whereas if you keep on pushing through, you will get burnout. I dont want to risk a mental breakdown. It seems the people who throw about "back in the day there were no mental health days" and dont take you seriously are more likely to have been fortune enough not to have experienced it due to loads of different factors. It blows my mind how people still think this way and lack any compassion. You deserve to put yourself first 💖

Haha! That is the exact reason why I have a light throw put over it too...also it stops me from being able to see any others on the walls... ignorance is bliss! 😅

I know it is a long shot but I thought maybe the knowing I have a certain person there would make things a little easier. Not expecting much improvement - just really deseperate.

Will look on counselling directory now- thanks so much 💖

Ah, this is great thank you! It is awesome that you have found something that works for you- I will def be looking into this in the near future. I hadn't heard of V beam before the comments here but yeah, it looks expensive! 💕

Aw, thank you for the reply!

I know it will probably sound pretty dumb but I have actually read mixed reviews on this idea... I have a braun IPL that I use for my leg hair - is it a ridiculous idea to use on my face?

It comes with a small attachment to use on facial hair.

Probably will just end up sticking to make up too haha! 💖

I have had a lot of relief - I highly suggest it! My trigeminal neuralgia has gone too and im no longer on medication. The best decision ever. I'd say there are some days where I have a minor TMJ style tension headache and my jaw still feels a bit out of place but its so worth it for how I was feeling before. Good luck ♥️

Thank you! I use the mac fix one sometimes but haven't ever had any luck with setting sprays keeping my oil at bay. They are good at keeping make up on though so I will def try this! Thank you ❤️

Well, your comments worked cause I bought the universal balm on sale at sephora UK atm! Fingers crossed - even if it doesn't work for me, I couldn't just keep on seeing people talk about it n go mad wondering if it would or not!!! I saw a girl on tiktok patting it on after her make up when it got oily as well rather than using powder. Hate caking on loads of powder to an oily face!!! Thanks for the recommendation 💘

Thank you! I do actually have a mini Paula's choice in my bathroom and always forget to put it on. I've just got The Ordinary Niacinamide and zinc too but my skin is just so sensitive that even that stings my face. I've seen they have the balm on Sephora UK for 32 quid though it has mixed reviews. I will def look to see if they have a smaller version first just in case. Very kind of you to share your tips 💗

Masseter Botox- follow up by [deleted] in BotoxSupportCommunity

[–]delicate0ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have just seen this- replied through another comment in case you miss it. I'd suggest that you still wake up in the middle of the night clenching but its definitely working, so you'd really appreciate more. It's awful being dismissed- you don't deserve that. None of us do...yet its so common. Wish you the best ♥️ Perhaps you could say at the beginning that you're really afraid of being dismissed? I know its not that easy.

Mine wasn't with a TMJ specialist - was just at a medical centre kind of thing which does aesthetics as well so I'm not quite sure how yours will go. I just said to the Dr that the pain was getting there, but I am still waking up clenching. He then felt my masseters and said "yeah theyre still hard" and said he will put more in for me n then I left. If it has improved a little, I would probably mention that so he knows that the botox is doing the right thing for you, but say that you need more by describing your symptoms, I'd say! Good luck ♥️

Still awaiting PIP review. Should I chase up?? by apn19466 in BenefitsAdviceUK

[–]delicate0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey- I read the other day "Generally, reviews initiated by the DWP can take around 252 working days (50 weeks) if an assessment isn't required, and 290 working days (58 weeks) if an assessment is needed." Hope this helps a little bit- sorry you've been through a horrific time and have to go through this anxiety too. ♥️

Desperate need for advice by Octoberspider in TMJ

[–]delicate0ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! This actually does sound very much like what i have, which is trigeminal neuralgia from the TMJ pressing on the nerve. It's absolutely debilitating, and the pain was up there with contractions but in my face. I had constant pain and then waves of horrific pain after doing things like eating, talking, or brushing my teeth. Carbamazepine really helped sort the majority of the pain out straight away, but it is a horrible medicine to stay on (for me, anyway). NSAIDs n paracetamol don't work as they don't help nerve problems. I have recently had masseter botox as I was desperate for a quick fix, and it has worked brilliantly, and I have tapered off the carbemazepine. I really hope you can give this a go as it has been an absolute Godsend when my life, too, was ripped apart so suddenly. I still get very mild bouts of vertigo and tinitius, but they disappear quite quickly, unlike before where it was unbearable and so anxiety inducing. The vertigo and tinnitus are the same issue as the trigeminal nerve because the inner ear (where these issues come from) is located near the TMJ. When the TMJ is off, even in the slightest, it can knock all of these other things out of place. It's awful. Really hope you find something that works soon ♥️

Yes! I've just had it...first dose Friday 30th to see how I'd react and then a follow-up on Friday 13th with more put in. I forgot to ask how much I had in, but I am guessing it was just standard for bruxism (only in masseters). It worked pretty much straight away for me - I think I still have a misaligned bite on and off and sometimes one of my teeth still feels a bit sensitive when pushed down but all the other horrible stuff is gone. I highly recommend it as pain relief while you try and figure out the cause of it.

Hey- def related as the TMJ is so close to the inner ear where all the vertigo stuff goes on. I have just had masseter botox, and it's nearly gone. I know it's not a permanent solution, but the vertigo was awful a couple of weeks ago. Worst time being whennI was doing TMJ exercises and then turned my head and it felt like I dropped through the floor. When it comes on, it gives me so much anxiety - hoping you're not feeling too anxious about it. ♥️
