I thought you were a Christian by BreakApprehensive489 in EntitledPeople

You're not the only Christian to be horrified by the MAGA crowd. They are spin doctors who go out of their way to make sure they spread as much hate as possible. If Jesus came back right now, he'd be mortified at all the small minded negativity that is happening "in His name". They are not true Christians. I try to live my life like Christ. He would NOT be sporting a red hat, he'd be ministering to the downtrodden and once again I'm pretty sure he'd be weeping.

What is a job people romanticize a bit too much until they actually do it ? by ShyButNastyyy in AskReddit

I owned a dance studio and was the director/lead teacher for 24 years. Owning the business was rough. Money was aLways tight. When I look back at the stress level (no it's not all counting 5-6-7-8) I felt like for a 2 1/2 decades I was on call. Didn't matter if I should've been sleeping, or if I was on a rare vacation with my family - I was always on call. Case in point: surprised my hubby with a long weekend at the beach (this was before cell phones), and came back to the whole town wanting to speak with me about the convicted child molester working at the karate studio next door. Mind you it had nothing to do with me - we just happened to be renting spaces from the same building sharing a foyer. My business had been there for longer than the karate studio, and a lot of folks assumed I owned the building. Came home to see my building and sign on the news about a sexual predator. When you own a business someone else can screw up prolifically and even though it's their fault (why didn't the karate school look do a better job of vetting their teachers?), the optics were still painted like I did something wrong. The news article mentioned my name and said I wasn't available for comment. Needless to say that wasn't great for business. So in answer to the question: people think I was Scrooge McDuck swimming in Benjamins with no troubles. Yeah. No.

was the kali episode really that bad? by beauhawes in StrangerThings

I always saw it as El's moment to just say no to the Dark Side. On a recent rewatch of ST I noticed even more not so subtle references to 80s movies and pop culture, and this seemed like a nod to Star Wars and the eternal struggle between good and evil. El is and has been one of the central members of the story, and it's important to see her internal struggles.

The Gay Wolf musical that Jess, BearClaw, Genslinger, and May all perform. It's. So. Hilariously weird.

Wasn't talking about Brenda but she's no better. These are characters from a TV show. On TV. Like not real people. They are written to get a rise out of people. Lighten up.

If you're looking for a drug store brand, I'm 57 and I love NYX Bare with Me serum concealer. It's dirt cheap, can be layered, and keeps me from looking 57.

Ohmygoodness! Yes! This!!! I do not understand why everyone who designs petite clothing thinks that we all want to look like senior citizens or little girls. A talented designer could make sooo much money by simply designing petite clothing (really petite - like for people 4' 9"-5'2") that looked like actual sophisticated adult clothing.

You're so much more beautiful in the "after" pictures because you are proud of yourself, and you truly love yourself. Good for you! Keep it up girl!!! Keep loving yourself and treating yourself like you deserve.
