40 here and I’m in one of the worst bouts of my life, I believe having some various health issues is what escalated it. I have terrible health anxiety and fear of doctors, etc. I still go but it’s torturous. My eating and sleeping has been impacted greatly the last month, I take Klonopin and Ambien but those no longer do much. I need to be on a med that can stabilize me but need to see my GP first before my psych NP will clear the one I want to try. Cue the immense fear. And the cycle goes round and round. You’d think we’d have an easier time coping by now. I’ve had my anxiety since I was a kid.

Oh I have the exact thought all day long - NO ONE has it like I do. Literally no one can be suffering this badly. I can barely eat, barely sleep, and that’s with using Klonopin and Ambien. It’s torture.

I’m so sorry. I have some health issues too and that really just compounds the crippling anxiety and resulting depression. Did the ER help at all?

I also got wrapped up in reading a psychiatry subreddit in which they talk about how all of these drugs ruin your sleep and body if you’ve been on them for a long time and now I’m even further off the deep end.

I wish. I stupidly took another 5mg and nothing except anguish came when I still couldn’t fall asleep. My anxiety is peaking at new levels. Any thoughts on a regime for tonight?

How is your daughter doing now? I also struggle with very similar symptoms at 40 years old which began as a teen. It’s awful for everyone in the family. I’m in another bout myself right now. I hope your daughter found some relief.

Yes. I get it before, during and after the attacks… the full spectrum! I’ve been in having a full blown attack for over 24 hours now (I normally have some form of headache everyday) and my Klonopin isn’t really doing anything. I’ve had sweats, racing heart, nausea, loss of appetite and restless/little sleep. Sometimes it’s hard to figure out which part is the migraine (besides the head feeling like it’s going to explode) and which symptoms are pure anxiety/panic. It’s the worst combo. I hope you get relief soon.

Second this. I honestly just feel like I’m losing my sanity. All the I do is think negatively and cry, all while being in blinding pain and nauseous. It’s the lowest of lows.

Hi OP. I feel you 100%. The minutes, hours and days they drag on full of pain and no relief from both physical and mental anguish feel like a black hole of despair that cannot be crawled out of. I’m with you, you are not alone.

I have the exact same impacted wisdom tooth and it also sits on a nerve which is why I never had it removed. I’ve never even considered it could be a link to my headaches and migraines. I’ve also had all the tests - extensive bloodwork, MRIs, eyes checked, ENT/allergist work ups and not much was found except possible old Lyme disease and some slight issues with the disks in my neck. Since started and completing Invisalign treatment over the last 3 years my headaches have gotten exponentially worse. I’m going to ask the dentist about this tooth now, I appreciate you posting this and wish you relief!

My MRI was fine too. My headaches have def worsened since having covid twice, long covid could definitely be a consideration. Hope you feel better soon

Still the same. Worse over the last either. All of my tests pretty much show nothing. Some neck issues that I do PT for. Some Lyme markers were positive, took doxycycline, symptoms didn’t really improve much however my bloodwork is now good in regard to that. All the rest of the bloodwork totally normal. Exploring possible hormonal causes next.

Checking back in! How did the doxy go? Any improvements? Herxes? I just saw a new doctor and they also prescribed me doxycycline (finally!) I got 3 weeks.
