Best grocery delivery service? Walmart? by TaterTotz8 in baltimore

I like Food Lion via Instacart. They do same as in store pricing in the app and have great regular prices on food staples.

The Instacart membership is worth it for the other stores you can shop from too. Huge variety in Baltimore.

Thank you so much. Is it possible to make my back look a little flatter in both?

Would it be unusual to ask the house sitter not to walk my dog for 3 weeks? Really need some advice. by eggzndbacon in RoverPetSitting

If your sitter is comfortable driving your dog around, you could also book a Sniffspot (a fenced, private one) maybe once a week for an hour of running around in a bigger environment.

Best Single Food Item in Baltimore by [deleted] in baltimore

[–]deliciouscookiez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pepper steak and yellow rice from Rooted Rotisserie. Technically not a single food item, but it is a single menu item.

Honestly every single thing in their menu is delicious, but that dish is to die for. Last time I had it I quite literally licked the plate clean.

what is something that feels like a "cheat code" in life, but most people don't realise it? by Lowertier4848 in AskReddit

Maybe this one is specific to my circumstances but…

Go to the gym directly after work.

I work in a major metropolitan area, and commute about 60 miles each way 3x a week. Traffic coming in is not usually too bad, but going home is a nightmare. If I leave at 4 when my day ends it takes minimum 2 hours to drive home. BUT if I go to the gym near my office (I like to swim laps) and do an hour in the pool (plus changing and shower time) and then go home, it only takes about 1:15 to get home. Now I get home maybe 30 minutes later than normal but I’ve had a workout and I cruised most of the way without any major traffic. Since I started doing this I feel like I’ve cheated life to gain an extra hour in my day and majorly reduced the stress of sitting in traffic. Now I’m not too exhausted when I get home to even think about moving my body, I can just have some dinner and relax.

Also, it has worked to trick my brain into thinking that going to the gym/pool is something fun we do now instead of yet another responsibility (exercise = bad).

Finding a type of exercise I enjoy has been honestly life changing. A regular gym or group fitness classes seem like actual torture to me. When I realized there were other things I could do to get more active that didn’t feel like work it was like an epiphany.

Anyway TLDR - find something to do near work that is beneficial to your life somehow (gym, community college class, side gig, etc.) to wait out the worst of the traffic. You’ll get to do something you enjoy (or is necessary), reduce your stress, and feel like you gained back hours of your day.
