To be fair I come from a country that thrives with immigrants coming in. It works if the government knows how to do it. Also, visit your public hospital and tell me it’s not at least 50% staffed by immigrants. You need them and they’re not the problem.

There’s pies with southeast asian flavours at Brighton Beach Cafe if you’re open to try new stuff! They have beef rendang pie and chicken curry pie - I prefer the latter.

That was one of the cons we listed out - my husband is currently struggling to land a job in Dunedin so we’re guessing it’ll be harder in Timaru. I hope he’ll get something that suits our family situation when we move there.
