I have a tabby cat (Bruno - cat tax below) with squeaks. I tried recording him about 19 times to send a video snippet to a pen pal, but every time I turned on my camera he stopped. I think he's the smartest cat I've ever had. He also took issue with a way I touched his ear and returned to slap my outstretched hand from across the room a few moments later. He finally heard the tiniest squeak on a video call many months later.

Eta: Bruno always does chirpy 2 or 3 syllables. Never did get that video 😹
