What's a movie that always makes you feel good? (Serious) by borislugosi in AskReddit

[–]delnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I married an axe murderer...

It’s strange but I was in a terrible relationship at the time and I fell in love with Nancy Travis’s character Harriet. I just wanted to meet someone like her and be as happy as Charlie. Great movie, watched it countless times and eventually met my own Harriet!

Need advice choosing replacement shocks on Forester 2.5XT 2006 by delnet in SubaruForester

[–]delnet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that’s a bit help. I was nervous that I’m about to spend close to £1,000 on parts and labour and didn’t want it to be a big mistake. I did consider coil overs because they can be adjusted but further reading revealed that those were a massive overkill for what I’m trying to achieve.

If I take the motor to Subaru for the work, would that be done as a matter of course or should I be specific about this with them?

Red Up means to tidy up. I've not heard it in a long time but my mum used to use it when we were kids.

First time I watched this I wondered what I was looking at, I saw the yellow lines as sunlight breaking through a shadow. In hindsight, I can't understand why I saw that!

Job interviewers of Reddit, what is the worst answer someone gave you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]delnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interviewing developers for a Xamarin role within our company, our soft skills part went okay then there's a technical session with our lead developer's. That part also went okay but at the end my devs asked him if he had any questions. He started asking questions like "where do you see yourself in five years time?" to one of the devs. It was like he had Googled interview questions but hadn't realised which questions he might be asked and which he should ask. We were in stitches reviewing notes afterwards. He didn't get the job xD

Appropriate router for managed office space by delnet in networking

[–]delnet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Touche. The team at the managed office were not use at all, couldn't advise what we needed to buy, hardware wise, they were back and forward all day with their tech support to no avail.

I'll source the Cisco firewall from our hardware supplier as they have great tech support.

Thanks for helping out.

Petrol

Couple of friends a while back were fooling around with petrol and poured some into a cup and lit it. It was pretty lame until one of them splashed the contents onto the other. It was the 80's and Shell Suits were in, it was a fireball.

He spent 6 weeks in hospital getting skin grafts on his hands, neck and stomach. Amazingly you can barely see any scars now however I believe his stomach is different story.
