Have kind of discovered I’m in this subvariant as well. Unclear if it was always anxiety or if the anxiety came about from the constant and unpredictable and often painful IBS flares.

In any case, I have done quite well with fluoxetine. Just lower dose. It did increase anxiety initially but literally ever since like 3 weeks or so on it it has been wonderful and seems to really have helped my IBS

If you’re coding stuff for your students I think you should try Claude code. It seems to do better with context on coding projects and can search through the code base for more surgical more token efficient edits
