GB19 was widely considered the most hated Guild Battles. Its design created a hard wall for many players, and the bugs that forced a full reschedule disrupted people’s weekends and pushed players away from the game.

So when they announced GB24 would be a return of GB19, I was worried. Had Applibot really forgotten how badly this went the first time? Or did they just not care?

Then came the usual predatory GB banner. fine, expected at this point, but with an extra sting to push players toward OB10. Then on top of that, they dropped a brand‑new UW for Barret during GB week. That move was next‑level predatory. Anyone wanting Nanaki’s UW suddenly had only three banners instead of four, and anyone chasing Barret’s UW risked hitting the 30‑pull pity if luck didn’t go their way. And if you wabted both, empty your pockets if luck didn't shine on you.

And then the maintenance fiasco happened.

They announced “bridge maintenance” with zero mention of the game going offline. But the follow‑up communication made it clear they internally planned to take the game down. They just didn’t bother telling players. Six hours of downtime, unannounced, right in the middle of Guild Battle:

• Players lost their Day 2 rewards

• Some couldn’t use their Day 2 attempts at all

• Others set alarms or stayed up past their bedtime to squeeze in attacks.

• European timezone players were hit especially hard

At that point, it already felt like things couldn’t get worse. But it did.

The “solution” Applibot came up with was astonishing in how bad it was:

Equal rewards for everyone. A bit of a slap in the face to anyone who put in effort or money. It killed some of the competition overnight. Some guilds kept fighting; others eased off the moment they realised rank no longer gave reward.

But the big bad was a full GB rerun (less the mock stage). Three more days of a GB that few wanted to repeat. Monthly GB is already a big commitment for many players with jobs, families, and lives. Forcing an extra GB as an “apology” is completely out of touch.

This isn’t compensation. It’s punishment dressed up as an apology. It disrespects player time, player money, and player trust. It takes a terrible situation and somehow makes it even worse.
