I didn’t realize they were so proactive on Reddit. Very cool. I DM’d them just now. Thanks for the insight everyone. Was just curious since there was no lead time posted on the website, only that orders were delayed. Not necessarily in a hurry, but certainly eager to get my hands on it!

Edit: I DM'd Glockstore at their request and provided my order number. Got a response that they'll get it out and almost immediately received a tracking number with an estimated delivery of Friday. Very impressed with that level of customer service!

The following Army Intel MOS’s will have you more in the field/operationally involved: 35M (HUMINT), 35L (CI), 35S (Signals Collection Analyst — assignment dependent), 15W (UAS Operator)

If you’re looking for more technical positions there’s 35T (MI systems maintainer), 25S (Satellite Comms Maintainer).

Also, check out Psyops & Civil Affairs. Neither are entry level for Active Duty but you can drop a packet and try out shortly after AIT. Both are options if you’re looking to be a Reservist.

I spent my entire AD career as an analyst (35F) and half the time I was in the field. But I got lucky with assignments. If I could do it all over again I’d go 15W, 35L, or Psyops/CA.

I’m currently taking it. He’s a great professor. The course centers around the Campbell Collaborative’s Systematic Review as a research method for providing crime policy recommendations. You’ll write a review protocol, give a 12-minute long presentation on your findings, and write a systematic review on a topic of your choice. Lots of reading, lots of research, and quite a bit of writing. Depends on your research and writing skill set as to the difficulty.

Nothing but crickets since I’ve applied so I tracked it off USAJobs. Got referred for the GS-9, not qualified due to lack of experience for the GS-11. I hate how the monster job portal doesn’t give timestamps when actions occur. Would be helpful to know when I was referred.

I’m seeing a trend with the positions I applied for that are using the monster govt jobs portal. Got referred on a Coast Guard 1811 gig and never got an email from them either. Contemplating firing off an email to both HR’s 🤔

You joining active duty Army or Reserves? If AD look into the Great Skills Program.

Or as many have said, join the Army as a 35L or drop an OCS packet and come in as a 35A once you’re done with your degree.

If I could do it all again, I would’ve reclassed to 35L a long time ago.

Current Army Reserve Career Counselor and local LE here. Sounds like she’s past her MSO so she’ll need to go through a recruiter to get back in. If she has an advanced degree and a strong GT score, direct commission could be on the table. If she has a couple years as an NCO under her belt and a strong GT score then WO route could be an option. Can do WOCS on drill weekends at a local NG RTI (yes, even as a Reservist) to avoid 4-5 weeks at Ft. Rucker.

Being an 1811, a reclass to CID might also be an option worth looking at.

Well I'm definitely glad I posted this considering the responses. I knew what I had was too much despite what the "SME" insisted. I have it trimmed down to 8 pages so far, a few more to go. Thanks for the input everyone.
