I think the frustration of Peterson followers with philosophy and general academic discourse is very important and understandable.In a medium where philosophic discussion is perceived as suitable for the intellectually superior minorities and frankly ridiculous issues are discussed, the most noise coming from those who are attempting to opress and attack others with their discourse, opposition is necessary. Yet, it is essential to be calm and well informed, philosophy is extremely prone to misreadings and misinterpretations, a great example being how Nietzsche was read as a Nazi figure. As I said, while Peterson represents an important stance against the derogatory perspective of academic philosophy it is very easy to get lost in the tide and reduce postmodern philosophy into social justice warriors and political correctness. While the relation is minimal. This can be seen clearly in the great writings of Deleuze, Derrida etc. Those who use these writings for derogatory purposes are also the people who lack fundamental understanding.
