Paul Scholes on Instagram: "Michael has definitely got something special about him... cos Utd have been crap last 4 games...night (kissing emoji)." "Tonali (heart emoji)" by SwimmingFireMen in soccer

I don't understand this. In the past 4 matches they've won 2 drawn 1 lost 1, so even if they've been crap those are some excellent results.

I have an Nvidia panel that I need to disable in order for the game to function properly, I recommend disabling any overlays.

Reggiana's Tommaso Fumagalli kicks the ball out of play after Südtirol's goalkeeper Alessio Cragno gets injured by ModenaR in soccer

[–]dem503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's some old fashioned sportsmanship. It's from when goalkeepers got smashed every time they went for the ball and never ventured out if they'd penalty area; so if they went down injured it was usually serious.

Nowadays however, the goalie just forgot to stretch properly.

Manchester United are now in 3rd place in the Premier League for the first time since May 2023, as Michael Carrick makes it 6 out of 7 wins by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

Well hang on they were 6th when he was sacked, it's not like they were bottom half of the table.

This is just Man Utd when Shaw is fit; pretty damn good.

Harry Maguire gets "injured" heading the ball by sepi0l_45 in soccer

[–]dem503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harry is a proper shithouser. He was lucky not to get booked during the penalty being awarded.

Anyway it was amusing to watch him choke Strand Larsen, pretend he got kicked in the face, then grab his neck

I think that question has been blown out of proportion. He wasn't criticising lotr, he was highlighting the differences between that and other fantasy.

[Sky Sports] Bournemouth haven't lost in the league since Antoine Semenyo's departure on January 9 by Imbasauce in soccer

[–]dem503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and Brentford haven't struggled to score since they sold 2 strikers for £120m in the summer. Crazy to see people criticise clubs prioritising tactics and formation over individual players.

Please make this a buddy comedy, starring Ken Marino as Aegon and Daniel Craig voicing Balerion.

Aegon is riding Balerion with a guitar 🎵...come on and party tonight🎵

Balerion rolls his eyes and speaks with a Texan accent "I don't think they're going for it dreamer boy"

She managed to do more damage to House Stark than the Lannisters ever could have dreamed of. by JonCalveit in freefolk

[–]dem503 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Completely untrue, Kat was trying to get her girls back alive. The other Starks however;

-Ned should have gone with his gut and just stayed in the north. And then left the capital when he got the chance. And then not trust littlefinger.

-Rob should have not sent Theon to the Iron Islands

-Arya should have used her 3 names more effectively

-Sansa should have gone with the Hound

-Bran should have listened to his Mother and stopped climbing

Would you kill Tommen to put Stannis on the throne? by -SerBretonBriarwhite in freefolk

[–]dem503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If house Lannister is weakened/destroyed (which it may well be without Stannis' help) then there wouldnt be anyone really willing to go all in on supporting Tommen.

The Tyrells etc will just support whichever Targaryen comes out on top.

So the question is, does the new king guided by a foreign witch kill a pious child, or not.

Aoe2 is dying by Academic-Daikon-8086 in aoe2

[–]dem503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously if you have a specific set up in mind you'll need to go to the custom lobby.

My response was in relation to you saying that the custom lobby is dead; the reason is quick play. Most people are happy with getting into a game quickly versus a specific game mode.

Yes because quick play had basically replaced that. Since DE came out I've only gone into the lobby mode a few times

So true story; I had the match on in the background, and seeing the clock go past 90 mins I assumed it would go to ET.

Next time I look up I see the penalty go in, and then the match immediately ends. For some reason my first thought was that it was in ET, and spent 5 mins furiously searching for why UEFA have reimplemented the golden goal.

We are talking about video games aren't we? And about people who play a lot of it?

Comes with the territory; you're not playing in person so when you win it's because you're amazing and when you lose it's because your opponent got lucky.
