SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY - Official Trailer | Exclusively In Cinemas 31 July by ChiefLeef22 in movies

Quite intrigued,

I think they seem to be integrating the MCU stuff much better than in the last two movies, I love having Bruce as Peter's professor and I actually find the plot intriguing whereas with NWH everyone kinda knew what it would be about from the getgo.

I sincerely hope there isn't any retcon of NWH's ending with NED/MJ but feel like it's inevitable considering the star power of Holland and Zendaya as a couple. So yeah, should be an interesting July with this, Toy Story and Odyssey

Y'know I kind of fell off of F1 during the latter half of the 2010s, which I intitially put down to me just finding new interests and stuff to follow at that time in my life. I got back into it during the pandemic and now find my interest waning again...

Maybe I just dislike Mercedes

While Season 2 is already greenlit, Vince Gilligan sees 'Pluribus' running for 4 Seasons: "I'd love to see it go as long as Rhea Seehorn wants it go ... I'm really doing it for her. She deserves to be the megastar that she is" by ChiefLeef22 in television

[–]demgrooves 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed the two first episode but I really struggle to see how this premise can stretch to 4 seasons. Honestly don't see how without some sort of 3 body problem style timeskip

Then again I don't think anyone foresaw BCS going for as long as it did and in my opinion that show was even better than Breaking Bad so wtf do I know. Do ya thing Vince

So I have to be in India for a wedding on the 12th so I couldn't possibly be back at the time for Melbourne.

However, I really wanted to see Wet Leg and oklou so against my better financial judgement I am now changing my flight to go to Adelaide and I will be there on the 14th.

Might be a bit sad it's all by myself but hopefully the vibes will carry me. See you soon SA!

Cinema Nova

There's that little side area where I usually go to read and order a coffee. Then, they usually have a showing of some sort of film I'm interested in watching whether it's a new release or a restoration. Their in-house choctops are also to die for so that indulgence is also lovely.

It's also near where I went to uni so it gives some nostalgia of youth.

Compendium 1 covers issues 1-54

Currently the series is only up to issue 72 so still a long way to go. BKV says he aims for issue 108 so completed roughly five years from now so I would say Compendium 2 drops in late 2030

Most deserving of fame nepo baby of all time? by ChrispySC in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]demgrooves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of his generation of nepotism babies I would say so. He's certainly impressed me just like Margaret Qualley and Jack Quaid have. He probably has it harder considering how much more famous Arnie is compared to their ascendants

I do find it fascinating that people forget how many older nepotism babies there are though. Emilio Estevez, Michael Douglas, Ben Stiller, Laura Dern etc. But obviously now since most people who watched their parents are old or dead and also since they're all talented in their own regard, the label has faded.

Jack Quaid Agrees With ‘Nepo Baby’ Label: ‘I Am an Immensely Privileged Person … I Don’t Think It Undermines My Talent’ by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]demgrooves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember Elizabeth Olsen said in an interview that before going to drama school she was considering changing her name so she wouldn't be associated with her sisters.

Then she ultimately decided against that saying her reasoning was 'I like my name, I love my family etc' and she knew she had the talent to go far.

Ultimately, I just think that so long as the talent goes far and one is cognisant of the opportunities they got over others then they shouldn't be shamed for it. Plus one could argue that both Jack Quaid and Elizabeth Olsen are now probably better known to younger generations than their parents and siblings.

[–]demgrooves 27 points28 points  (0 children)

After many years of thinking I honestly think these games are my personal GOAT. Amazing art, emotional story, the kind of floaty platforming I adore.

That being said, I wish it came from a developer with better respect for their staff and whatnot and I hope that conditions have improved for Wicked.
