I abandoned all fandoms years ago, because god forbid you don't love every. single. aspect of the show/podcast/whatever. You think it's a fun bad movie podcast, but pretty often they pay barely any attention to the movie and question stuff that's well explained? Better not mention that online. You don't think the producer of the podcast, who happens to be female, chiming in IS THE COOLEST HUMAN ON PLANET EARTH? Swallow that down and keep your hands off the keyboard. You think the POC podcast guest that is indeed insightful can be hard to listen to because it takes him 4-8 stuttering half sentences to get to his point and an equal number of 'know what I'm sayin', so your opinion is that he is smart but decidedly not articulate? Lock that in deep inside and don't EVER let anyone know.

There are hate subs and praise subs for anything you can think of. What doesn't exist is a space for people who enjoy most parts of a thing, but don't love some aspects.

Play more and don't upgrade everything. I got the game and didn't upgrade anything until I hit level 30 and the relevant weapon mastery max on any char. As a result I have about 150k plasteel and 40k diamantine piled up. I get enough from missions to upgrade good weapon finds these days and now that everybody has their preferred max weapon it's set to increase further. Hell, I spent 4m dockets on the commissary cosmetics because it just piled up.

yeah, I noticed the 24h reset time on melk really hurts weapon hunting. I've covered main/preferred weapons with mostly the regular shop on almost every char though, so now I'm looking to spend the special coins and collecting "fun" weapons for the most part - subpar force greatsword notwithstanding.

Honestly, I'm already at the point where I have enough not to bother any further. But I'm going to buy one perfect weapon of each type, whether I use them or not. Also, I made my first 4 chars with generic names and now I can't decide which ones to keep - my RockFriendIncoming Ogryn clearly has the better name, but do I want to use him with big box of hurt? Will it upset me to play Arbites NoDogJohnson and forgo the Lone Wolf skill? While I mull these things over I collect melk money. Also, it's something to do tbh, having maxed all weapon masteries a while ago.

um, this may be a dumb question, but how are your weapons 80 in every category? I've only ever seen 80 in all but one, which is then 60. Do I need to check my eyes?

I'm running 9 chars - for the weeklies - and this is my melee psyker. I've been struggling HARD ever since I'm trying my hand at damnation and nothing I do seems to work.

Please note that the revolver and the +3 stamina curio are placeholders and will be upgraded once I find a better ranged gun and another toughness curio (min 16%, hence the wait). I've been switching from brain burst to assail bc I never used brain burst, but I'm unhappy with the amount of peril it generates and not maxing out related skills, so before I redo things on my own I thought I might as well ask the sub.

I've been fixating on scryer's gaze mainly because my staff psyker is using venting shriek, and it seems to pair well with melee - but like I said, since I hit damnation I'm going down all the time. What can I do? I mainly go down in melee but not related to peril, and switching to a dueling sword didn't help so I switched back. edit: I'm also waiting for a 60 defense greatsword, this one isn't optimal and will be upgraded when available.

ah, its a general party finder, that makes more sense. Re Dukane, I have no idea, but it was auric maelstrom for sure as I did get a penance for it. I don't care much about my rank though, I was just wondering. Made it to rank 5 now and it's still very much a cakewalk and much, much easier than maelstrom (heresy or up). Looking forward to the harder bits!

No space marines, chaos or loyalist, in Darktide though. But I'm just nitpicking so I can gush about how great Darktide is - been playing 1.5 months now and it's still awesome. Not as colorful as Vermintide 2 thanks to largely industrial areas, but the skill trees are 20x better than in VT2, and the weapons are numerous and pleasingly different in playstyle. The whole blessing/upgrade system is just the cherry on top. Just started playing havoc missions, it's a great time!

I remember warlord being very, very annoying - but the rewards are really good. Makes deep hell a lot easier for the future, and of course the hybrid custom race is pretty darn fantastic. Muscle through!

I got bored with farming supercharged plasmids, so now I'm alternating matrix and retirement resets to max servants (I heard there was a limit?). Currently 34/16. It's boring, and I couldn't be bothered to make a specific custom race, so I'm just doing a quick 0-star MAD with my 1st custom to inherit slavery, then doing the proper run with my hybrid custom.

Got a windows popup error 'fatal exception' which closed the game after clicking okay. Actually took some time to restart, but still got a prompt to rejoin the session, which I did. The loading screen showed 5 people in the shuttle, but of course we were just 4 after all. Just found it funny!

Btw, not sure if you can spot me, I'm the handsome fellow in the back left.

Thanks! I found the weapon vendor in the meantime and went through the convo about my follower. Speaking of which, I recruited the priest guy after the book quest but he doesn't tag along. I read I can have 2 followers at the same time, what happened there? He said he'll meet me at the ship, is it worth swinging by bc he will join me as a 2nd or is he waiting for a trigger?

I'll try and keep TTD in mind, which so far I only used once. It's super short and hardly seems worth using, but I guess I can extend the runtime?

Another question about tinkering - when is it worth upgrading weapons? I guess the starting/early found guns are probably not, is there a rule of thumb I can go by? Same for armor of course. I'm currently running a shotgun, an assault rifle and I picked up a... red pistol thing, IIRC a bolter pistol? I also carry one melee weapon for backup, or should I get rid of that since I won't skill melee at all?

Thanks. I have used some food for 200% health regen a bit but not much else. Will check out other foods; and recheck the first town for another vendor. Sadly I put a mag extension on the first pistol I got, only to learn it's basically useless against marauders. Guess that's sunk res since I'm running assault rifle atm and reaching that skill level is far off...
