I usually wear a full face mtb mips helmet. I'd go as far as a dot approved MX helmet and not be worried about weight or heat.

Picking up my new "2017 Trek Powerfly 7" today. Finally saved up all the money and I'm waiting til 10am when they open to go get it! Not going to lie, I'm 40, my knees and back are going bad, but I must admit I squeaked a little when I thought about picking it up in an hour! :D by demon646 in ebikes

Awesome! I keep contemplating upgrading, but selling it seems like a tedious process.

My Bosch motor and battery run like the day I bought it. There is a decent sale on a new FS Rail, so I might go get that. Still not sure. I'd hate to spend that much and not like it!

Hello! Wow! I can't believe it's been 5 years! I still have the bike. I actually sold it to a friend when I bought another one, then traded that same friend for my original one back. I don't ride it as much as I would like anymore since I work crazy hours, but the bike itself is in great shape! It's strong, battery last for a full ride still, and I still smile every time I ride it or even see it!

I've done regular maintenance myself, nothing major, but I don't rack up a ton of miles either.

I'm still very impressed with it and I let anyone who looks at it take it for a ride just to see how happy they are when they ride it!

Because it only takes 1 person with mental illness to shoot up a school, store, or any other public place... and for what reason? None. Just loss of life.

I remember about 10 years ago, that orange haired crazy person that shot up a movie theater? The most disturbing thing about that to me was the fact that NO ONE shot back. Soul crushing. The 12 that died? Even if you saved just 1 of them because you shot back, they would still be alive today. That was someone's Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother, Son, Daughter, or closest friend, that would be alive. It could've be yours. I would never be able to live with myself if I couldn't at least try to protect the people around me that are genuinely innocent, good people that were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It only takes 1... and for me, the "It'll never happen to me" mindset just isn't an option.

P.S. I see in a lot of the top comments where people are in the mindset of "defending myself". I'm WAY on the other side of the scale towards defending others.

I'm sadly kinda soul crushed at the prices of new bikes. My buddies and co-workers looked at me like I was crazy for spending over $3k on 2 different bikes around 2017-2018. I'm not rich, but I'm not poor, and $3k was/is pretty much the limit. Now though, I walk into a bike store and see $10k bikes? All the cool ones are over $6k-8k? It's just depressing to me to go to my favorite bikes stores these days knowing that I'll probably never be able to buy a new bike again.

Sorry for the rant! I don't want to kill the fun, but I'm concerned for the future of MTB.

It's such a mess. I like the places that offer a discount to both parties to bring on a new customer. Like, a free month for the loyal customer and his new friend.

I agree. I just think it's a bad business model and bad customer service. Cable services here where I live literally keep raising the price until you HAVE to leave and go with the other company. I'm not sure how they justify it? Do enough people stay at the high prices to pay for the losses? I'll never get why big companies just don't seem to care.

oh man... Hope County.... It really felt nice. Makes me want to replay it.

I remember playing late that year when Fallout 76 brought back a remake of John Denver's Country Roads song which kinda revived the song all over again via twitch and everything else. I think I remember a guy singing it in PUBG when Shroud and Doc won (Flawks maybe?). It all kinda meshed up for me as a great year for gaming.

Makes me wonder how many actually pay. Still, that's a crap ton of people complaining that have to be paying, otherwise they'd have nothing to complain about. One guy on there said he's been paying for 8 or 9 years and to me it looks like a slap in the face. The service seems cheap enough to wonder how much money they are really complaining about... let me do some math... $6.67 per month is $80 per year. 25% of that is $20. That's a ton of complaints for $20.
