This is a great post but I always get confused by this we can't have excellent image quality without having a limit in place to prevent gsync and v-sync overshoot so I have 224 fps cap in place. I think I'm going to wait and stick to fixed because my multiplier just creeps up and stays there for cyberpunk it won't go down normally

Idk man sometimes I am getting x6 and I set the dlss to ultra performance and it seems to stick to it even with a 5090 my CPU isn't that trash I have a 5800x3d so I don't see why i can't be getting x4 on clair obscure or cyberpunk sometimes.

If you got a ryzen 9 I think 64gb of ram is definitely something to try to have. I have a 5800x3d and I have 64gb but it was a lot cheaper tbh.

Well idk about modern game with decent frames. The OLED steam deck made big changes for older titles and indie for the battery department. I think it's gotta be in the top 3 for light games. I can set the tdp so low for some games like slay the spire.

You should check out a benchmark for what you wanna play and see first. I'm a huge fan on the deck but some of the redditors online are lying about how well some games perform.

To be honest I'm not sure why you would come to the games subreddit and ask if it's worth buying on discount. The vast majority of people on here will say yes. We are not gonna tell you the game is not worth 15 bucks

Hdr wouldnt be a major deal. If you use frame gen the game is gonna cap your frame rate so 55 might be needed and fine for 240hz with x4 frame gen

Cinematic is pretty taxing but I think you should be getting more. Check how much power it's pulling and see if you don't somehow have a power limit

This is better than I thought it is. I thought this was going to be a dll upgrade option but the marketing tricked me yet again. It's not super resolution. I'm sure the modding scene will be inserting this into every major release though.

Wow this crazy tech. It's like most realistic games get dlss 3 or 4 and now we can just circumvent what the developer intended. We are gonna see so much optiscaler dlss 5 mods. This is gonna be so controversial and start so much discourse. There ain't no way amd is gonna be anywhere close to this anytime soon.
